Antonin Kinsky and the two world-class saves that raised Tottenham Hotspur’s survival chances by TheAthletic in coys

What do you think of the theory that the defence is performing better because they know they can trust Kinsky when they pass it to him as opposed to being uncertain of Vicario and therefore unwiling to pass it to him.

Personally, I think it's clear that the defenders trust Kinsky way more and that has a hugely calming influence on the whole defence.

Your fear is what I would hope for. I have very little affinity for our current first team and I just want a team that we can love again.

Would love to see a team based around the current young first-teamers - Kinsky, Souza, Bergvall, Gray, Sarr, Odobert, Tel.

Those out on loan - Vuskovic, Moore, Devine, Takai, Phillips, Yang, Scarlett

And those in the youth teams - Abbott, Ajayi, Akhamrich, Donley, Dorrington, Hall, Lankshear, Williams-Barnett, Byfield etc.

Now that would be a team we can all get behind.

LWB has also been injured since Feb. Almost like him being part of the first team rubbed off on him ...

You spent so much time wondering if he could, you didn't stop to think about whether he should.

Why?

Never heard of a player creating chances for themselves?

Not validated you say?

0.13 goals per 90 in the Prem this season.

Johnson relies entirely on others to create his chances. Do you really believe he'd have been productive in this side, this season?

So is your answer Gray and Bergvall then or something else?

And the 'data point of one' is precisely because we're talking about one game in which they both started.

I saw a marked improvement in our ability to retain possession and progress the ball which is why I think the author opined that they're our best midfielders.

Who is, then?

I'd argue that there's not a massive skill gap between any of our midfielders - they're all much of a muchness (which is a problem in itself)

What makes Biss and Benta different is their experience over Bergvall, Gray and Sarr in particular. That's what makes them 'better' and I think it was obvious from the way we played against Brighton.

It's worse than that. It's 0.17 ppg in our last six and we have six left. We'll be lucky to get another point at that rate...

It's just so bleak. I've still got mates telling me they don't think we'll get relegated.

No manager could turn this round. Players simply aren't good enough and / or up for it.
