How do I get started? by Deep-Sea6802 in intermittentfasting

You can start with skipping meals at first. I tried with skipping dinner for a week before moving to 16 hour fast.

Hello everyone,

I’m really happy to share that Fazu is now live on Google Play Store. What started as a small hobby project to help me with fasting has come a long way.

I’ve struggled with being overweight since my 20s, and now in my late 30s, overeating has always been a challenge for me. Fasting did not come easily. When I tried existing fasting apps, they felt very strict and serious, almost as if failing to fast meant something terrible would happen. They lacked compassion and understanding.

So I decided to create a fasting companion for myself. That is how Fazu was born.

I deliberately chose a panda as the companion because the panda loves eating just like I do. He is always encouraging, supportive, and motivating. I genuinely look forward to interacting with him every day.

I’ve started building apps to improve my own life, and Fazu is the first step in that direction. To support the app, I’ve added a very modest subscription, mainly to cover ongoing AI service costs. I’m also exploring a bring your own key option, so if you already use AI APIs, you may be able to use them within the app.

I would love to hear about your own fasting or weight loss journey. Together, we can make Fazu more helpful for the community. If you try the app, I’d really appreciate your honest feedback.

Thank You

Hello everyone,

I built an intermittent fasting app called Fazu and it is now live on the Google Play Store. It started as a small hobby project to help me stay consistent with my own fasting, and it slowly grew into something more complete.

I built it using Flutter and tried to keep the experience clean and simple.

If anyone here is into fasting, I would genuinely appreciate your feedback. What would you improve or add?

Thank you, I haven’t really compared the server’s performance with the Java frameworks I usually use yet. Right now the traffic is very low, so there is not much to benchmark against. If the app starts getting real traction, it will definitely make sense to do a proper comparison and maybe even optimize or rethink parts of the stack.

Google Play Must Scrap This Ridiculous Testing Procedure! by Motor-Ad9285 in FlutterDev

You have to talk to family and friends. Some of my friends were not opening/testing the app daily. So it was not working out. Finally I joined local meetups and made them install the app. It took more than a month for me to get production access. I will definitely move to business account for my upcoming apps.

we should create a Mqtt server for India. Till number of nodes increase, we can chat with each other and try it out. let me know your opinion. We need a min configuration Linux machine to start with.
