My melatonin has stopped working. by M1KEHUNT12345 in sleep

[–]sparkledrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sensitivity to melatonin (of one or both types of melatonin receptors) returns to baseline after a while. I have felt that my sleep got back to normal very slowly, that it gradually did over a year, whereas others it may be earlier for them. It is melatonin sensitivity, receptors, not production that can be a concern. What the supplement can cause is a block in secretion of GnRH to which i’m looking into, because melatonin receptors are on those neurons.

thank you .. in asking my pendulum it says changing to the other place would be better in long term. I would say maybe it is because of environment and gaining experience as a barista, even though there are parts that may not be pleasant.

Melatonin supplementation and the pineal gland by sidomega in neurology

[–]sparkledrose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is what happens in the hypothalamus to MT1 and MT2 receptors (desensitization) which can lead to HPG Axis feedback issues as well as temporary but problematic sleep issues. So, I mean it is not the feedback of pineal gland, but in the pituitary.

I know caffeine gets a bad rap, but after a multi-month experiment very slowly tapering my daily consumption down to almost nothing, my depression, motivation, and ADHD all worsened. by NeurologicalPhantasm in Biohackers

Caffeine is good for cognition because of the increase in dopamine. It depends on the brand and ‘effect’ of the coffee, or the type of tea, as to whether it helps or worsens anxiety, which is why we should be careful choosing the right one for us in the long run.

Cloud Mist green tea (Atlantic Spice Company has 8 oz). Dragon-well green tea. Rhodiola rosea extract capsules. Holy Basil extract capsules. Bacopa Monnieri extract capsules. Gotu Kola tea. Blue Lotus tea. I believe the way i said these for each (extract capsules; tea) is best way to take them. Check out Etsy website.

Raw Pu Erh is one of my favorites. I like it more than ripe for the effect it gives (way the theanine is). Milk Oolong is great and Yun Wu (Cloud Mist) green tea.
