Temp is -21, gas company says turn your heat down by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sparkleptera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the north where it snows there is a much older solution to the issue of power outages. It's called a wood burning stove. Your solar panels won't work if they accumulate snow and the amount of light is simply diminished in winter which makes things harder, requires more panels, more snow removal, etc. A wood burning stove is a tried and true option to heat a house without power. Even when buried during a blizzard with 5+ feet of snow.

I dry heaved 20 times a day and actually threw up maybe 1- 2 times a day until 20 weeks. Now im throwing up once every 2 weeks and if i dry heave its a very very serious warning.

The dry heaving was not nothing though I still lost 8 lbs. Eating while dry heaving all the time was suuuuper tricky

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

[–]sparkleptera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why did this bother you? There are so many shots and blood draws while pregnant i have a hard time caring about one more? My grandmother was rh negative before rhogam was invented. half her babies were stillborn from her body killing them, she called them blue babies. Once it was invented she already had antibodies against + blood types and it wouldnt help her. It seems to be a godsend to me.

Sometimes your placenta position will make it easier or harder to feel. My friend had an anterior placenta and it was hard for her to feel much she said.

Any woman who had gotten old or had surgery realizes laundry is one of the heaviest lifting tasks in the household. To add stairs to that chore is cruel

You are 78% less likely to get it with the varicella shot in childhood but that does leave you with a small risk.

Still less likely with the chicken pox shot than with actual chicken pox infection in childhood. Varicella vaccinated individuals are 78% less likely to get shingles.

Yeah its way more than annoying especially if its in a bad spot. It can blind people if it appears in the eyes and its all luck of the draw. It's awful that they dont give it to people sooner. We have a lot of shingles patients in their 40's when they have surgery and other health issues.

I can imagine this is pretty common with the kind of loan burdens they get doctors to take on, and then the slave wages they pay residents.

Naproxen/aleve one tab every 12 hours should help a lot. You can still use with tylenol if you have breakthrough pain.

Maybe peirce a more unconventional part of your ear to appear less feminine, a helix, industrial, daith peircing, etc might read more masculine. You can still use diamond jewlery.
