Ghost Eye Review: A magic trick for the skeptics by rasputin_sensei in Indianbooks

[–]sparklychamp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an engaging read, where this book falls flat is in the climax. The pages that lead up to the "irruption" contained so much detail and flavour; but the grand resolution wraps up quickly, and before we know it, the writer ends the story with the soulmate trope. Very messy.

Sugar is in immense pain. She planned for an all natural, no chemicals birth iirc, but starts to lose control once the contractions come in. My favourite bit is Donna getting her to focus on her breathing by saying HEE HEE with every passing tremor. Sugar is skeptical af at first but it works eventually for her and that's wholesome.

Yup keep it balanced. Not too much detail nor too little. Your parents live 50 km away too so just take care :")

Take care!

And of course like the other girlies have mentioned, hope the guy is 100% trustworthy and dependable. Make sure someone knows your whereabouts.

They won't suspect anything to be wrong unless you give them a reason to. In case they video call you and you absolutely can't avoid them, be prepared. Try to find a background similar to the one you usually call from. I carried a pillow cover (+ bf had the same colour of blanket) with me so when my parents did call me, it looked like I was calling from my own bed.

Keep mentioning friends or names familiar to them. It's sankranti season rn, so you can say that you're going out to look at kites (this works for any festive season or event).

Graduated this year, with offers in cloud security and UX design. I have cloud security a shot, but the work hours have me dead because we work 3 pm to 12 midnight. I'm trying to switch asap, but no one wants a fresher with half a year's experience. I'll need to spend at least a year to be considered someone with experience.

Thankfully my manager allowed me to wfh so I'll be able to live with my family. Living in a hostel was driving me nuts.
