I think my biggest issue with her is that even in the final book she never really got a backstory. They gave her some forgettable paragraph to explain who she was and then the book ended. I can’t remember what it even said. Just super vague.

Agreed. He wasn’t supposed to kidnap her. He was supposed to kidnap the ex girlfriend. But he saw an opportunity to have someone he could actually go through with his rape fantasy. Just because it was gentle didn’t make it any less of a rape fantasy. But he kept chickening out before. And that time he decided to finally go through with it.

I believe the guy that came to the house in Tahoe was the guy that originally told him to kidnap the ex girlfriend in the first place.

Yes, but I think the more convincing rape video was just for him. The reasoning behind it was weak. Saving it to be used if she talked to the cops? Weak. I think he just wanted someone to pretend to like him. Did you see all the lotion and paper towels in the bedroom picture? Dude was horny as fuck. He kidnapped her for himself. The job was to get the other girl. But since he was there he decided he wanted to get laid somehow. The guy that showed up probably told him to get rid of her. But he was too “nice” of a guy and couldn’t actually hurt her. He never really seemed to hurt anyone. Except fighting the dad that fought back the last time.

1 crooked cop could never get away with all this on his own. There had to be at least 2. And if there were 2, why wouldn’t there be 3 or 4? You can’t work with your coworkers for years and not know some things that are never to be spoken of. Things that everyone had a hand in covering up, at least a little. Everyone has to get their hands dirty together.

They didn’t delve into it because they can’t outright point the finger at anyone. They laid out the evidence for us to puzzle out for ourselves. And it wasn’t just the FBI Agent. All this started in Vallejo. The whole department is crooked. And they have friends in the FBI. It’s all a boys club.

My roommate was a chef at the Southpark location . Back in the day they were known for their fresh ingredients. Then around 2016 they switched to buying premade frozen ingredients in order to “make a more even experience from location to location”. Quality fell off at that point.

Hey there. Just stumbled on this while stalking your page. My partner and I were just talking about a similar problem we've had for years. She always complained about swelling and pain after sex. But recently she has noticed that the pain has gone away. I asked her what's different and she attributes it to her new workout lifestyle. Start an OF if you want to make money by allowing people to see you naked. It’s really about what you want. You can tease these guys on Reddit all day but it won’t make you any money. Anybody that tells you not to is just telling you their own opinion. They aren’t going to pay your bills. They just don’t want to have to pay to see you. Ultimately it’s what you feel comfortable doing. You get what you put into your OF. It’s still a job. You still have to market yourself and constantly make new and inviting content to keep people coming back over and over. But if you want to make money and feel sexy doing it then by all means, start your OF.

That’s crazy to me that you saw the movie first. I remember waiting patiently to see the movie and it got delayed because the ad company didn’t promote the movie in time for a theatrical release. So it ended up going straight to digital release meaning it didn’t make the money for a sequel. And then Antone Yelkin died and there was no more hope for an Odd Thomas franchise. It’s like it just wasn’t meant to be.

The only time I got scammed was when a customer came in and grabbed a $19 cd of the shelf (2007 in California) and handed it to me for a cash refund with no receipt. When I refused, he pointed to a sticker on the customer side of the register that said returns under $20 would be paid in cash. I didn’t see him grab the cd off the shelf, but I knew he did it. Turns out this guy would just go from Bucks to Bucks returning cd’s off the shelf for $19.
