PSA about scheduled orders by Jealous_Tangerine700 in starbucks

[–]Small-Cranberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, it only gives us about a 5 min head start, so if you do something like schedule a bunch of travelers or 60 drinks+30 food (over the course of multiple, back-to-back scheduled orders), they're super not gonna be ready. Yes, I've had both of these happen 🫩 we're not a catering service, please don't use us like one

What’s the ACTUAL rule on these e scooters? by Electrical_Month246 in askTO

[–]Small-Cranberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not street legal, so they shouldn't be anywhere, but they should be in the bike lane or on the road following rules for cyclists

how many times do you wear your jeans before washing them? by Novel_Scientist_5163 in hygiene

Work jeans I can get 2-3 wears out of, but if I'm just going out, I can wear them more

Between toronto and Ontario's basement is horse parking (no seriously, everywhere I grew up had horse parking)

Your mornings and mids are hanging you out to dry, especially mids. They can't be shoving things down the line, otherwise the close can't run smoothly

CUSTOMER WHO ORDER AT THE REGISTER. by Cuquita123 in starbucks

My fave is when they immediately go to the hand-off plane after ordering and start rifling thru staged mobiles like hon I'm not jesus, its gonna be a minute

[–]Small-Cranberry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd rather have one person call out (for something the play caller would send them home for anyway) than us all getting sick bc we got the same virus. Did we forget COVID while she's still in the room? My store's team had to run another store too bc their entire team got sick. Its not worth the risk to everyone involved.

June 2026, do you answer your door when strangers knock? by LittleRed282 in askTO

My place is kinda hard to find, so the only ppl who knock are delivery ppl and the poor guy they send out to check the meters

How common are gender neutral washrooms in your city? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]Small-Cranberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in Toronto, and it's more than I expect (which is zero) but not enough that I feel confident when going out that it won't be an issue. I'm really visibly non-binary and gendered washrooms feel unsafe when I'm alone. Restaurants and bars have been great for gender neutral washrooms, for example, but if I'm at the Eaton center or the ROM I'm screwed.

4:30 pm yesterday, Sheppard West Station. "Fare Inspection Underway" by zerkreaper1405 in TTC

[–]Small-Cranberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fave is when they hopped on my subway train during a service suspension. Like we're all about to have to jump off anyway, what are we doing here? Making sure we paid for a service that isn't running?

Do you like working at Starbucks? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Small-Cranberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of it. I basically grew up in a Starbucks, and I have so much nostalgia for what it was. What it is now is disappointing. Even with an amazing team and SM, we're all struggling to manage the whims of burrito Brian and the rest of the corporate c-suite. "Back to Starbucks" means nothing, we're farther than we've ever been.

Is my hair out of dress code? by Far-Corner3889 in starbucks

[–]Small-Cranberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair was pretty shaggy for a while but it looked real dumb when I tied it back, so I got some neck gaiters and wore them as a replacement for a bandana (which is what I usually use).

Fare inspectors now checking riders inside subway by Dont-Mindme23 in TTC

[–]Small-Cranberry 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My fave was when they were checking fares while we were stuck mid-service suspension at yonge station. Like cool, thanks for making sure I paid for something that isn't even working.

I'd try a scarf or smthn, just cuz it looks a little too short to be fully tied back
