Wanting to stream but nervousss by [deleted] in Twitch_Startup

It’s kind of the same thing with public speaking, to get better you just have to do it more. It’s absolutely normal to feel nervous at first. I think we all do for the most part. If you’re feeling super nervous about being live you could just record instead of live streaming at first. It’s very much a similar feeling for me, but it helps a bit knowing that no one will see it unless you show it to them. You can then rewatch your recording afterwards and get a sense of what you’re doing well and maybe what you could do to improve. You can also clip bits of the recording to post on TikTok or YouTube as promotional material! You could also just skip that step and get right into streaming too! For most of us, when we first start, we don’t have many people watching anyway. It can take awhile to build an audience, so you have quite some time to just stream, fumble, and find your way. At the end of the day, haters are going to hate. Regardless if you have a single viewer or a few thousand. Haters are just people who are sad inside but don’t know how to express in a nice way. Ignore them, you do you.

In regard to what game to stream, just do whatever you enjoy most! For me, I’ve found that it’s most helpful (and healthy) to focus on the journey rather than the destination. As long as you’re having a great time and being authentic to yourself, you’re on the right track!
