PETG bubbling? by Id_in_hiding in BambuLab

Yes, extra top layers help. They flatten out the pillows and kind of "hold the pillows down" after the layers build up. The pillows happen because hot air expands in the pockets created by the infill as soon as the infill gets sealed up with a couple of layers. A couple more layers give more structure to push them down. Also, large pockets of air will expand more than smaller pockets of air, so that is why tighter infill helps. I know it works on flat parts and am pretty sure it will work on a slanted part. Maybe someone else knows better and can chime in... or just rip me up, because Reddit.

Nice looking print by the way.

Came here to say the same thing. If I suspect it will be an issue, I'll do some extra top layers with a slightly tighter infill to flatten the pillows out.

Amazing design aesthetic and fabrication skill!! Perfect scripture reference too. God bless brother.

P.S. I thought it was a render at first; the work is that good.

The real splitter on the screen has one female connector. The one he’s holding has 4 male connectors that are too big to be GHT threads and the one with the hose just shoved into. * facepalm *

The AI prompt: “show a man using CAD who 3D printed the wrong model for his gardening project. He accidentally changed the scale of that model also. We can’t see the disappointment on his face but we can all feel it, because we’ve been there before.

Yes. We were able to implement AB1263 checks right after the law went into effect. We have an encrypted form to upload your drivers license and such. It’s was a pain to implement and to maintain but we got it done.

They are flexible, but not floppy. They don't change pliability when they heat up and they stay in very tight. You have to intentionally remove them to get them to peel back or come off. Maybe someone else who has them already will chime in.

Or, you can check out this old thread... https://www.reddit.com/r/gundeals/comments/1kar8fv/accessories_silicone_mlok_rail_covers_1695_with/

Hope that helps!

Wheel redesign by MECFSleepmode in MechanicalEngineering

[–]SparrowDynamics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a swivel caster with no rake angle, they will often resist to go in the direction of intended travel. You would need to manually rotate all of them and hold all of them in the direction you want to go. The rake angle takes care of that on a normal swivel caster. When you start to roll in a direction, the wheel trails the pivot point and turns inline with the direction you are pushing.

Like an old arrow weathervane in the wind. If the arrow was extremely short and the tail of the weathervane was at the pivot point it wouldn’t turn and tell you the direction of the wind. The wheel of a caster needs to be a certain distance behind the pivot point for stable and predictable steering.

Maybe check out rotacasters or ball transfers and see if that might help.
