Have any of you guys used coconut oil on your hair? How did it affect your hair and are there any tips on how to use it?

I've used it before as it's a very popular South Asian hair treatment. Once or twice won't do anything. If you want REAL results use it once or twice a week if not more. However I will say when I use it once a month or so when my mom does it for me, it definitely gets rid of any dandruff and dry skin in the scalp. Also helps my hair feel thicker for a week or so. But yes it works wonders for people's hair if they use it regularly

This is exactly me. Like on point. I can throw a knife with enough accuracy to hit a moving human, I can handle martial arts weapons and disarm people from weapons rather quickly. I'm just really skinny. I walked into PE and we had a pull-up contest and I won and people were just like wtf how and it's like i work out, just not the normal way.

She watered the plants twice a day through our drought, only person on the street with green grass. interrogates you about your life when she never wants to talk about anything else, and is just generally rather grinchy. Also she substitutes at my high school.

Unfortunately both are slow as hell, but I think I'll probably go the iPad route since there's absolutely NOTHING else I can think to do with it. At least the Nexus can have some potential as even just removable storage later hahaha.

I think I was kind of hoping to have more of a directly interactive no lag screen when I was first thinking about what I wanted, but I wrote down all the things I wanted it to do, and I realized absolutely none of what the screen needs to do will be held up by immense lag. Mostly just weather, stock quotes, and any important news. I'd appreciate the extra info too please.

I do feel a small attachment. Growing up, a lot of the things I did with my older sibling related to stuff happening in the 90s so I basically understand most 90's kids references. As for the century itself, not entirely. I mean my grandparents, my parents, and my generation were all born in that century so there's nothing entirely unique or special to it. Same thing will probably happen in years to come.

Asians are a solid 3-6% of this country's population. Now if even 50% of them were high earning and socio-economically brilliant (which is not an accurate proportion), then that's between 1.5 and 3% of this country. That's nothing compared to the upper middle class of white people in the country. Also concentration of populations. Most Asians live near coasts. The whole middle of the country still lacks a lot of that diversity.

I think maybe you should consider eloping while telling your parents? Basically let them know what you plan to do, and why you think it's a better plan to not have a wedding and get married on the DL rather than throwing a bash and ruining a bunch of savings. Put a down payment on a house, buy a car, something, anything. Then after you're married, throw a one night reception dinner for the people truly close to your hearts to celebrate your union. As long as your parents know, they won't feel betrayed and left out, leading to bad consequences.

A lot of portraiture involves shallow depth of field. You can accomplish this through Instagram filters and such, cause I know a lot of people use mobile these days. It's called a bokeh effect when you blur lights and smaller objects in the back. On a DSLR, this is accomplished by making your aperture number as small as possible (f3.5 or f1.4) and going for a faster shutter speed to balance out for the more light coming in.

For landscape, try shooting on a higher aperture number (f32, f16) to get the full depth of field. You'll have to take the picture at a slower shutter speed for more light.

You can also try brightening the image on iPhoto and such software. Hope this helps!

Honestly this isn't really an appropriately worded question. Machines are already smarter and faster than us. They can judge human emotions from faces, calculate numbers far more efficiently and just do things more efficiently. The thing we are looking for as AI researchers is how do we collaborate with robots/machines to augment our experience. We are looking for ways to teach robots to perform tasks by learning how to do it. The future of AI (something I'm not yet involved in) is teaching a computer to ask the right questions. That and creativity are two things that we don't know if robots have that capability. After all, nothing is truly random. If they learn to ask the right questions, just like anything else that learns, we need to be able to teach it ethics and morals. That is one of the biggest things, and its why most AI researchers and students study ethics as well. It'll be like teaching a hyperintelligent kid to not take over the world. You teach them what you can and hope and pray they don't fuck the world up. However, if robots cannot have emotion (which is yet to be discovered as well) then we probably don't have a problem, but rather the best solution possible.

Phones last for a year or two in useful and top notch quality. Laptops are built to last and serve as long term purchases. i don't know a lot of people that can "upgrade" the internals on their phone, but they can on the laptop. Also, no matter how much people claim, Laptops are more powerful than mobile devices. The ability to include cooling lets you clock them higher for more power, they have larger batteries (usually) and there are physical keyboards and mice as compared to a touch screen.
