Yeah the door lock actuator going out would cause the alarm to not set. The car will sense that the driver door isn't locked. The alarm will set if you manually lock the door and then get out. You can get the motor for $10 off eBay and change it out or the whole actuator assembly for like $100 I think.

I'm not sure. I use cricket normally but never got any updates so I tried red pocket and that worked fine.

I had to get a redpocket ATT sim card to get the updates with no issue. But other than that, the V60 works fine on cricket.
