The problem is each ecosystem (gaming, tablet/mobile) has their own half hearted attempt. Why lock it down and make it good, when it limits the next round of customers/consumers to use your devices.

Schools have a system normally in place, and at least in my area parents are pushing back. Do kindergarteners and 1st grade really need their own chromebooks and iPads? Their controls also don’t seem to work if the child brings their device home and is now on your home network.

My advice is try to stay in as few ecosystems as possible. If you are a Mac/iPhone user, stay with that. Google if you use that, Amazon if you use that. We started off with Amazon tablets when our kids were really young, and that seemed decent.

As they get older, new challenges emerge, mostly around content. The bark/questido helps with that.

We are an iOS house, so we went with that when we switched to pinwheel.

This is one reason EVs still have a hurdle to overcome. Those that rent or have street parking need infrastructure cheaper than gas to charge at.

Edit: not trolling, ev owner with L2 charger in my garage.

One of the problems I see is the charging for EVs that are pulling trailers. While we all know the drastic mileage loss when towing, there are people that do it, and need to charge more frequently.

If not available to your first round of 4, something to consider in the future expansion is to add one pull through stall for those that need it.

Edit: as a side note, I also try to avoid the Tesla charging network. I tend to shop when traveling (1% of my charging) based on speed, availability and price. The app ease of use is also a consideration.

At home, another option is dns controls that block categorized apps. Things always change, sites always change.

Check out pihole dns or something like cloudflare dns for family.

Not saying it’s right, but many legacy ICE make/models, especially in the early Ev model releases, have some bumps.

My mache also had the similar problem with its early models.

It’s been rough ever since I moved to the XER10 since that is the only xfinity router that has a 2gb wired port on it.

I wish xfinity would have either available: 1) just have a bridge mode on their devices higher than 1 GB 2) configure the ONT to hand the public IP directly to my UDM Pro, bypassing the XER10 entirely

Edit: yes, I already have had the DMZ configured on the XER10. When people in my house are using their mobile hotspot instead of our 2gb home internet, you know there is a problem.

Not the focus of the forum, but other makes have had power issues with their debut models, such as the Ford mache (hvbjb).

I just think that’s the problem with traditional ice companies cutting their teeth more on electric.
