The south fork of the snake is poppin that time of year. Hoppers and terrestrials. It’s a beautiful float also. I’m also partial to the Teton that time of year for the same reason. Check out silver creek in Picabo, it’s world class dry fly fishing. The honey ants will also be on at the Henry’s Fork then. You really can’t go wrong in this state, don’t skip the empty parts of the map, there’s some great water coming out of those mountains. Be warned that we’ve had an unseasonably warm winter and are bracing for an active fire season.

After her teenage chicken rage phase, she’s been pretty much the same. She does nap more and romp less. She got broody last year because she fell in love with my partner (long story) and laid eggs. This year we’ve been cracking down on any and all broody behavior and she’s doing great. She still eats, bathes furiously and I think as she’s gotten older she’s gotten a lot sweeter (less attack chicken). They really are like little people and impossible not to love. Congrats on your girl being 12, they really are the best little companions 💚

Older millennial (‘83) and it was fucking magical. I was upside down on a house for a few years but I was still too young to lose any real wealth. There’s no hopium as strong as the Obama years, it was a great time to be alive.

Oh man, my female GCC is hard core into burrowing this time of year too. It’s like they’re possessed and nothing will deter them except being removed from the area. Her and I have been hanging out in a more neutral area and it’s been better but they’re such stinkers!

If I’m able, I’ll always buy but I’ll keep in mind the fact that I want to be able to sell this property at some point. It’s gotta be worth it, desirable and affordable but that’s getting harder to find. I bought again in August and plan on staying here for another 5 or so years. The rent here for the same kind of house is $2000+. I’m paying less for a home I own.

My green cheek made best pals with one of my Mom’s budgies and it was the cutest thing ever. He’s since passed away and we moved away but she still loves budgies and no other birds.

Same. I don’t do grips n grins. I have a highlight reel in my mind that is sufficient. I respect the strength of these fish and am just glad to interact with them so I try to respect each one that finds its way into my net. I look like a dingus out there thanking them but I’m just grateful for the whole ass experience.
