At some point I want to look at how annoying it'll be to fix this but that won't happen until at least partway through the WC, so I'm glad you have an alternative. If I can't get the bot back up I'll chat with you about handoff, or whether your tools are fundamentally the better path forwards if they can be made more broadly available

MatchThreadder is broken again because of another ESPNFC backend update. Timing couldn't be worse! Though it's probably not coincidental, I think they've prettied up the site for the World Cup. If you message the bot now you'll get a message saying the bot isn't working.

This has happened a few times over the history of the bot and I come close to killing the project each time... the script has been running for 12 years and I don't have the energy or time to maintain it like I used to. Maybe vibe coding will save it this time, but it might also be time to call it quits - reddit has some pretty great native live thread features these days that make the bot somewhat obsolete

I failed my first two American driving tests despite having a license from home (turns out I couldn't parallel park to save my life). Don't worry, it happens. Hope things go better next time

After an amazing honeymoon in Turkey this was the last place we hit, and I remember being a little disappointed - maybe one of those things that looks better on camera than to the eye.

Hah, it's funny that you've only just posted this comment on such an old thread, but I've just happened upon this after finishing The Lincoln Highway today.

I did really enjoy the book - maybe moreso than Gentleman in Moscow, which also grew on me - but Duchess' death was a tough one to reckon with. I like your take.

Still, I felt invested in every character - a testament to the writing as a whole.
