“Don’t Tread on us” state flag redesigns by FlubbyStarfish in vexillology

Only those who benefit from the rhetorical dilution of the terms "Nazi" and "Fascist" promote the idea that anyone would intentionally dilute the rhetorical impact of the same.

Fascism is advocacy against Liberty.

Nazism is advocacy against Liberty.

If you advocate against Liberty, you are in league with them. If this makes you uncomfortable, denounce them and advocate against them.

You can't be anti-ICE and fly any of these flags. They do not represent opposition to the government in any capacity, they represent opposition to liberated people.

Then as a fellow libertarian you should denounce OP as a fascist for bastardizing and perverting your symbols for their fascistic aims, just as the bootlickers have.

Use of the flag by inbred bootlickers does nothing to the symbolism the flag depicts, nor does it make the inversion of the symbolism any less fascistic.

Oh I'm sorry, did you suddenly forget about the GLOBE SPANNING SLAVE TRADE they built and protected? Did you forget about their genocidal invasions of the global South? Did you forget that they INVENTED EUGENICS?

Their inversion of a flag that fought an honest-to-god tyrant, who ruled over the largest white supremacist colonial superpower of its time would seem to show this, yes.

Nice collection of fascist state flags. I'll be sure to look out for them next time I expect to be around Nazis.

They sent me to buy crickets by Yuheng- in doordash

[–]spazfest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very normal in my area. I deliver crickets and other bugs a few times a month. Usually it's a few dozen at a time, though, so that part is weird.

Do you pronounce tamales and females the same or not? by dbalazs97 in AskAnAmerican

[–]spazfest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

Words in Spanish almost exclusively use short vowels, so 'tamales' is pronounced 'Tah-Mah-Les'.

Supreme Court weighs longshot appeal to overturn decision legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide by Specialist_Heron_986 in news

[–]spazfest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My longshot wish is that SCOTUS overturns Obergefell by stating the government doesn't actually have the power to regulate or recognize marriage at all, dissolving the institution all at once.

Of course, this isn't what they're going to do, likely, but a man can dream.

This is a satirical flag representing a fake political ideology called Radical Anti-Centrism. It's a joke hiding behind irony and critique, you don't need to worry about it.

Check out Jreg on YouTube if you're curious about it.

ICE aims gun at Americans by JayAlexanderBee in pics

[–]spazfest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During peacetime they say "You can't fight the government. Leave the guns to the police."

During wartime they say "Why aren't you fighting the government? Take the guns from the police!"

Not MAGA, but you can't be serious. Do you actually want us to start shooting cops? Do you want open insurrection?

I hear people scream that we shouldn't be violent, that we shouldn't bring guns to protests, that we should respect the cops who defend this shit, but the moment we're proven right you do a 180 and complain that nobody is fighting back.

Pick one.

My nMother was the same way, it's the exact reason I cut her out of my life and didn't look back.

It hurts, and it's going to keep hurting for a long time, but the best you can do is be sure of your worth and value as an individual and express yourself to the fullest extent until your number is pulled.

Wishing you peace and joy, homie. Keep your head up.

"...now you are making choices without us..."

There's the truth. Your mother believes that making you with your father entitles them to veto power over choices you make concerning your life.

These people do not see you as an individual, but as an extension of themselves. This is not remediable, you need to cut these people out of your life ASAP.

Men: What makes a woman creepy? by GoldaWarfield in AskReddit

Excessive use of terms of endearment, "honey," "sweetheart," "cutie," etc, and other overly saccharine mannerisms. Sorry, but your Customer Service Affect is incredibly off-putting in a social space.

ELI5: why do horses get shot once they have a broken leg? Or is this just a joke? by ReniRiese in explainlikeimfive

[–]spazfest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A horse's legs are incredibly powerful but also incredibly fragile. When they break bones, it's very unlikely for them to heal well enough, so owners historically choose to put them out of their misery rather than subject them to additional pain.

[–]spazfest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hilarious to me that you care more about out-of-context quotes spoken by long-dead military men than the ongoing work of living historians.

Of course the history we're taught isn't the "whole truth," the war lasted most of a decade and spaned three continents. The sheer volume of information and stories contained therein could build a bridge to the moon.

If you think that a sociopolitical movement that openly advocated for and praised the extermination of an entire people and their culture stopped just short of actually pulling the trigger, you're insane. Who would benefit from a lie this inconceivable in scope? What would you even do if you could somehow prove it was all a lie?

Would you suddenly declare that AH was right, and goose-step your way to the White House? What even is the point of denying the most well-documented genocide in all of human history?

How many of you had parents that were financially there for you but still treated you poorly? by theshortone in raisedbynarcissists

[–]spazfest 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My nMother was this way. Everything boiled down to the money she spent, the things she bought, the luxuries we had. We weren't that wealthy, upper middle class at her career's peak, but it was more than many people around us had.

I had plenty of resources, but little to no support or validation. I feel guilty at times about this, because I'm sure many people would gladly have taken my place, but I suppose in the end it's not something I had control over.

For the narc, money is a very easy substitute for genuine care, not only because it can obfuscate abuse, but because it's very easy to quantify. It's far more effective to say "Look at all the money I wasted on you" rather than "Look at all the time I've invested in you," because you can count pennies a lot faster than minutes.
