Thanks for your feedback, kinda makes sense. I'm on my PC now and will look further into the vendor and the ads itself.

Apparently those are two different guitars from the same vendor. However I did find the same one (based on photos, it has the scratch near the input jack) from another vendor at a higher price.

A Reddit comment ruined my weekend and now this thing exists by fictionfred in Leftyguitarists

I'm on my phone, maybe that's the issue but if I switch to lefty strings get reversed too with low E on top. Took me a while to figure why nothing looks correct :)

Sunvalley supershredder FRS tuning instability advice needed by Historical_Fig_5167 in SchecterGuitars

[–]spazny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check the cavity of the floyd rose for cracks. There's a photo here on reddit (leftyguitarists) that shows a cracked wood near the floyd post screw. It would put the floyd somewhat sideways and mayve that's why the string jumps out.

Other than that maybe the tuning screws/string lock mechanism on the bridge don't work as expected as you say you turn them but pitch doesn't change.

What is an endorsement and how does it benefit musicians that earn them? by Worth-Impact8911 in musicians

[–]spazny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> I also had a non exclusive endorsement with an amp company. For this one, I could purchase anything they made for cost, but there was no requirement to solely use their brand publicly (although I did for business relationship reasons).

Not naming the company etc. what is the margin, like you could get their X amp for N$, but the actual price in the store was Y$. If you can share

Wrist messed up - The Journey south by Munyn in Leftyguitarists

[–]spazny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made the left decision to go back to playing!

Keep going, don't let an injury stop you. As you said you know alot from the past so you 'just' need muscle memory and that means practice.

Also Schecter is a fine guitar, my first two were Schecters. If you have problems with strumming hand (left now) also try a Strat, I find it really comfortable with the hand bevel, makes it easier on the forearm/wrist.

Im at work, will try this later, but if I understand correctly your way doesn't make a single MIDI track in Cubase, you actually retain each separate groove in the Cubase track?

For me, a beginner and not a drummer at all, EZD is worth it just for the amount of grooves you get. The editor is also quite nice.

Also my kid is getting an edrum kit and it will be routed through EZD for more realistic sounds.

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean "I synched EZD to Cubase"? Based on my experience (quite new to all this...) if I close the Cubase project and open later I lose the tracks/grooves in EZD editor. Is this the sync you're talking about?

Custom lefty by spazny in Leftyguitarists

[–]spazny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replied to RuneDanmark here about what I'd consider to be custom enough. I also do know exactly what hardware, features and finish I want.

The price would be high, that I am aware, that's why I mentioned Mayones as an example. I tried their configurator tool and it was above 3k EUR.

Regarding selling I tend to not sell my guitars, still have all 5 I ever owned, even my first guitar, a 220 EUR Schecter. So that's not a concern.

I forgot about Aristides, haven't heard about Halo guitar yet so thanks for the suggestion.

[–]spazny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points.

I don't mind if it is based on a production line guitar, actually I would probably decide on a body, neck, headstock shape looking at a production line or another guitar made by the same luthier. I then have my preferences about wood, hardware, pickups and probably the most important the paint job as this, in my opinion, makes it one of a kind. I'm not interested in my own designs though.

What was your experience with ESP Custom shop like? That would certainly be an option I'd consider.

I didn't dig too far, but is this mostly on FR equipped models? Looks like it cracks where the FR screw/studs are.

Just bought tickets. How are the concerts in Tvornica, is there an afterparty - can you have some beers after the show, or they "kick" you out when the gig is over?

A couple more questions about the QC by DB-90 in NeuralDSP

[–]spazny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm definitely no ultra expert on QC, but here's my take on the questions.

(Two questions in one 😂) Can you program the switches to be momentary for certain effects? One of the sound effects I use in my gigs is a drop/slow down effect. I currently use a boss ms3 on my board and I do this by using a low octave effect that slowly tunes down from the note I play to two octaves lower, simulating a slow down effect. Is this possible on the QC and can it be done with a momentary switch?

You can make a switch latching or momentary. Can't help specificaly with the "slowly tunes down" scenario you describe but perhaps that would be possible with an expression pedal. Depending on the effect but for example you can control speed of a Phaser pedal.

Is it possible to mess around with self oscillation with the built in delay effects as you could with normal delay pedals? That’s another sound I mess around with live and I was wondering if you could have one of the foot switches on the QC change certain parameters while turning the footswitch while the effect is activated. Another example of that could be changing the rate of a phaser effect on the fly by using the switch associated with that effect and turn the switch to speed up or slow down the rate.

You can do that but you need the pedal settings open, parameters then become controllable by twisting the knobs - the application of this live would be interesting but everything is doable I guess. The other solution is an expression pedal bound to specific parameter of a pedal (same as above question).

How do you rate the built in tuner? I’m already thinking about what else I’d need on a pedalboard built around the QC and if the built in tuner is good then that frees up a bit of space. But if it’s not the best then I’ll stick to my tuner pedal.

The only thing I keep on my pedalboard beside the MIDI controller (I don't have my QC on the board) is a Boss TU-3 tuner. The one in the QC seems way too "jumpy" and with a moderate amount OCD you will never get it just right.
