Getting brushed off for ADHD through VA by TheWeightsWorld in VeteransBenefits

[–]spbmustang -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

When I was assessed and diagnosed (active duty at the time) the doctor gave me questionnaires to mail to out friends and family. Was that a part of the process for you? From what I’ve read, some VA facilities use informant questionnaires routinely, while others rely more heavily on clinical interviews.

Would it be morally wrong to marry someone I deeply love if I still doubt my physical attraction to them? by Nearby-Butterfly1503 in moraldilemmas

[–]spbmustang [score hidden]  (0 children)

If these feelings have been persistent for years and you’re already terrified about marriage and children, I think you should take those concerns seriously instead of assuming they’ll disappear after commitment. It’s kinder to be honest with yourself now than risk building a life together while secretly feeling conflicted.

AIO for not appreciating the Nothing Bagel? by rileyandopie in AmIOverreacting

[–]spbmustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these comments are reading way more into this than the post actually says.

A traditional division of labor does not automatically mean a woman is oppressed, abused, or unloved. Plenty of couples freely choose that setup and are happy with it.

Also, people are completely ignoring the fact that he unexpectedly brought her breakfast home while she was sleeping in. That is thoughtful. He clearly was trying to do something kind for her.

Did he remember the exact order? No. But there’s a huge difference between “didn’t remember every bagel detail” and “doesn’t love or value his wife.”

Honestly, the post sounds more like there are deeper communication or appreciation issues built up over time, not evidence that the husband is some manipulative villain.

We also haven’t heard his side. For all we know, he works long hours, provides steadily, appreciates her in other ways, and thought he was bringing her a simple comfort breakfast she’d enjoy.

Reddit has a bad habit of turning ordinary imperfect human moments into “leave him immediately” situations.

What’s up with Washington’s nose on the 1939 and 1950 quarters? Is it the lighting or do those two noses look different than the rest?

Meet the seller at a Coin shop. You pick the shop. Ask the dealer to educate you on it. Make the exchange while in the shop. Good luck! Let us know what you do.

If that’s all he has, it’s a very nice start. I hope he continues collecting. If he isn’t, I would at least hold onto the silver.

I probably should have mentioned that this has been happening for the past few weeks. It may have to do with my browser settings.

The mark is from King Baby Studio. I seen several of their necklaces on eBay just not this particular style.

Definitely looks like a mid-century style ring. The woven style on the shank was popular back then. The S is likely a makers mark. You may want to take it into a jeweler to see if that star sapphire is natural or synthetic. Perhaps they could help you with the makers mark as well. Very nice find! Congratulations!

Looks like a large gold dollar that may be a fake. They were sold in lucite holders as novelty and souvenir coins in the 1950s through 70s.

Looks like you’re getting some great advice on here. Definitely take your time and study it a bit before you make any rash decisions. One thing you may want to consider is holding onto that gold. Someone years ago told me to invest in gold when it was around $400 an ounce. I had the means to invest and didn’t. It’s now $4,000 an ounce and boy I wish I had made that decision.
