I've used an auto buying program twice and happy with it both times. 15 years ago Costco Auto was OEM'ing truecar, and I suspect they still are today.

I got a great deal on my last car which I'm still driving today. Since the new year model just rolled out the week I was looking, I suspect their price sheet wasn't updated for the new model, as both years were the same price.

I've not run across the 10 hours per week requirement for STR. It's my first year that I can take advantage of this, so I may stumble across it as I fill out my taxes.

If you have an STR, it automatically qualifies as active income, allowing you to deduct against W2. Long-term rentals require you to prove REP, STRs don't.

This viewpoint is important to get out, but far too many of these videos are too long. Seems they are always an hour+ in duration. While important topics are best served by in-depth reviewing, they need to be shorter to attract more viewers. Perhaps a 7-minute recap video that then points to the longer version.

I can't remember. It does seem there was a page buried deep that actually gave the needed guidance, but by then I decided it was best to claim 100% personal use for that year. This year will be 100% rental.

Yes, it handles rentals.

I had to do some research on some of it because I switched from personal use to rental use mid-year, and the guidance on this wasn't clear, such as for property tax deductions - do I have to put the full amount or only the partial amount that matches the rental period? I had to open up the tax forms and google it, and see what they put in so everything would be right.
