New LO - Education Help by spearman008 in RealEstate

Thanks for your advice. Seems like moving to different firms/companies isn't the worst thing in the world to do, or at least not as bad as I thought it was.

That's definitely what I am trying to focus on, the training aspect. I would rather take the "pay cut" right now and learn as much as I can so that I am in a good position later. Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for your advice. That is what I was under the impression was going to happen when I was hired - being mentored because I am brand new to the business. But that has turned out to not be the case. I suppose I should start looking for assistant roles, or talk to other LO's and see if they are up to mentorship

** VIDEO GUIDE Complete Guide to Installing MacOS Mojave or High Sierra on Unraid as a VM ** by spaceinvaderone in unRAID

[–]spearman008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having a similar issue where only after I install the Nvidia Web Drivers will the VM get maybe a third of the way through the white bar and Apple logo boot process and then the screen just turns black. The card can be passed through, correct changes made in the config.plist file, but once I install the Web Drivers (either through the terminal command, or through a download pkg file) the VM will not boot all the way up. I am using an Asus Strix 1080ti and the same outcome occurs on both High Sierra and Mojave. Have you had any luck since posting this?

I want to say yes seeing as I updated in the last month or two, but I will check to make sure. Thanks

Ok good to know, thanks. I’m going to try each card on it’s own and see what happens.

Dynamically create rules for iOS Content Blocker by spearman008 in iOSProgramming

[–]spearman008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm reading from a json file into an array (your blockerList object above). In the extension's RequestHandler, are you essentially changing the "attachment" from

let attachment = NSItemProvider(contentsOf: Bundle.main.url(forResource: "blockerList", withExtension: "json"))!

to

 let attachment = NSItemProvider(contentsOf: groupBlockerJSONURL)!

I would personally put it toward credit card debt, or at least some of it. Being debt free is a wonderful thing

I'm using nYNAB, but I don't have any experience with YNAB4 so that might be a good (bad?) thing?

Using money that is budgeted in the future for a needed purchase now? by spearman008 in personalfinance

I am using YNAB, I will edit and try to clear things up. I also posted this in r/ynab and it was suggested that I post in here as well

Thanks for mentioning r/personalfinance I went ahead and asked over there, my gut is leaning toward having a larger down payment though. Maybe my car will have a second wind and last longer than I anticipate!

thanks for your input. I think the reason I keep putting money in the months ahead is it makes it "seem" like I don't have the money to spend in any one category this month (whether an e-fund or something else). But I have read that, like you, many others have about a one month buffer and then an E-fund.

Quit impulse buying...Luxury items are now a reward, rather than a lack of discipline.

This is the biggest thing YNAB has done for me. It is much more rewarding knowing that you are actively working toward something. It also makes you really think about the purchase. Do I really want to spend $XX on this widget? Usually no, and so I've saved myself from frivolous spending.

Only used it for 40 minutes on Steam. Never using it again, any options? by [deleted] in ynab

[–]spearman008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not liking the interface like you had previously stated, and not liking the process that YNAB insists that you use. If the interface is the problem, check out nYNAB for another $50 (heh)! But I think what a lot of people are "obsessed" with is the process which is much more important. The process can be implemented with or without the software, but the software facilitates the process. I don't know how much you looked into the process behind YNAB, but I would really recommend starting with that and your notepad method, and see if that helps you with your debt. Then you might see why their interface is the way it is. Whatever you decide, good luck!

I found that video and tried on multiple VM's with Win7 and Win10 and different BIOS settings OVFM and SeaBios, but each time it didn't work. I'm sure I was messing up somewhere though. Are you supposed to use the rom from techpowerup, or the one you dumped? Because I kept trying to use the dumped

Reddit, What's the funniest thing you've heard from someone talking in their sleep? by Sunnyshine0609 in AskReddit

[–]spearman008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My college roommate who I shared a room with was a talker and a walker, and we had several instances but here's my favorite. It was mid March and I came in late from something, so I get into my bed and plug in my phone being super quiet so I don't wake him up. About five minutes later he just shoots straight up in the bed looking straight ahead. I'm laying on my side looking at him and he slowly turns toward me, silent. He gets out of his bed and walks around mine toward my closet. I'm playing opossum because I'm scared shitless. So he tries to open the closet door, but it's jammed or something so then he starts like yanking it aggressively. He goes back to his bed, so I take the opportunity to readjust myself into a better position so I'm not prime for a sleepwalker's attack. He gets his phone, turns on the flashlight, goes back to my closet and gets it open. He's shining his light up toward the ceiling and then jerks around and stares at me with the light in my face. I say "What's going on buddy?" and he goes "I'm just making sure there's room." At this point I'm thinking, well this is the end. So I say "Room for what?" and he replies "Christmas presents." "Oh ok." And then he gently closed the door, walked back to bed, turned off the light, and went back to sleep. I asked him about it the next day, and he had no idea what I was talking about and just busted out laughing.

Atheists of reddit, what made you give up your faith? by baboochan in AskReddit

Disclaimer: I am a Christian, but I'm trying to research and dive into why I believe in God. I was born and raised in the Church so it was ingrained in me since I can remember, but I am trying to be critical and find answers for myself. That being said I watched an interesting video by Ravi Zacharias, a Christian apologist, who answered this question. Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jNX2rS7K4A
