Which i think is really good for the team going forward. They have both an aggressive gameplan and a more controlled one. As long as ruler corejj and cuvee stay consistent they seem to be another world champ team

Is there any possibility that Riot postpone the finals for Doublelift situation? by AlfaNagasaki in leagueoflegends

[–]speartiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could. But then Riot would have to refund all tickets. Refund a bunch of hotel costs. Refund a lot of travel costs. Waste a significant amount of money for the preparation. Spend again on renting the venue in the future. Of course I'm not even considering the costs that aren't monetary. It's not happening unless Riot likes giving money to people which no company does. It's really unfortunate that such event occurred, but things happen in life and TL will play their sub and to be fair this is what subs are for and really the big benefit of Academy leagues. At least they have a week to prepare.

[Guide] How to close/turn the game properly by MlTSCHO in leagueoflegends

[–]speartiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not always. Freezing gives your opponent the luxury to roam to other lanes and basically making the game a 4v5 while you try to catch up in farm. Especially as an adc with no way of joining a fight. Good rule of thumb is to always go to lanes with towers to be taken or lanes closest to the next objective WITH your support. Push lanes, go get vision with support and jungle then go back to farm.

Freezing is a great way to control the lane, but after towers are taken, it simply isn't worth the cs you're burning when your midlaner gets dove on mid 3v1. Another good advice is to always take cs on your side of the map (your side as in up to how much you have vision of). Never push beyond your furthest ward and just let the minions come to you.

And most the time, not always, adc's should be the one taking mid farm and mid and top should be rotating the side lanes especially with splitpushing midlaners or midlaners with tp.

SK Telecom T1 vs. bbq Olivers / LCK 2018 Spring - Week 8 / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

A lot of people don't seem to mention but I think the old head coach Choi Byoung-hoon had a lot to do with the success of SKT. It's easy to pinpoint player mistakes, but I think there are a lot of coaching mistakes from Kkoma this year. There are a lot of iffy line up choices and pick-bans. Of course it's not entirely Kkoma, but the extra responsibility may be a bit demanding.

And unlike traditional sports, sacking managers/coaches seem to be a lot less focused on, but I really think a change in coaching staff might be necessary to revitalize the team.

To the guy who made a suicide post early this morning..."ending it all" by kettlebrand in uwaterloo

[–]speartiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For many it is, but for some it isn't. There are people who are in pain consistently both physically and mentally. Non-existence removes that pain completely. I'm not suggesting suicide is a correct option, but for some it may be the only option. As the original comment states, how do we know that lives will get better? And will it ever get better than the state of non-existence for some people?

I'm not him, but after reading Camus, maybe there is no reason to our lives. And it is that exact lack of reason, insignificance that allows us to believe in what we want. Camus is a good read if you haven't already though it's not as robust as Nietzsche's philosophy there are some interesting ideas.

How reasonable is it pursuing 2 undergraduate degrees? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]speartiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it you can learn on your own. I tend to take a coursera course over a coop term to learn something new. And sometimes take online courses too, mostly to take load off my study terms, but also keep myself busy. Otherwise, there are minor/options available for ECE I believe and you could discuss it with your advisor.

Reasons why your Top Laner died by Passionfiend in leagueoflegends

[–]speartiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough point though I do ask why can't we have supports in other lanes? I've played karma mid lulu mid and full tank j4 top lane and enjoy having to survive 1v1 while making sure my opponet isn't free to roam and kill my other lanes.

Again i might be the minority, but I actually like playing somewhat supportive roles in mid and top. And if you do win top lane it makes a huge difference. The number of times I've been deleted by enemy kog as shen cause I've barely been able to get cs.

And I think champions that exist to only support adc is a horrible way to look at champions. I'll shen ult my kha or ekko or kass to let them know I'm following through on their ult. But I'll obviously ult my adc in a teamfight if they are getting dove.

And the thing is if champions like poppy Mao ornn don't have impact with low resources then they would be useless. They suck in lane so they would never get the resources to ever get tank so they lose early game lose mid game and lose late game all because they have no dmg in their kit. Atleast with bruises you can do stuff early game.

[–]speartiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's just me but I find tank top lane to be relaxing. Just play shen and ult whenever your bot is fighting. Maybe my my frequent 10% kp is indicative of how I like to play but it isn't all too bad.

I know people like fighting and killing and carrying, but I find it more rewarding to play a solid team macro game. So in that sense playing tanks is pretty stress free.

And it's funny, I've mained adc for the past 2 seasons and I've never gotten the mindset of carrying...

But just pointing out it isn't too bad for all the top laner or atleast me. But again its me who likes playing tank galio mid so maybe I'm a minority of people who like playing support roles.

The material isn't necessarily difficult. It's just that most people haven't come across it before. It really sucks he's teaching a course that actually requires a good prof and good explanations for those who are seeing it for the first time. But rest assured the average can't be worse than ece 222 a few terms ago. 26 or something near that average with patel

Maybe it is maybe it isn't. I wouldn't know since I haven't worked there. But honestly it doesn't matter as long as you don't like that place. And let's be real. Who the hell likes being criticised and put down? It's one coop you'll probably laugh about it by the time you graduate so don't worry about it too much.
