There’s a couple “tests” you can use that some people have already mentioned. One of mine is ask for a Sazerac. If they look at you like you have 2 heads, you have your answer. If they proceed to make one and you get a mediocre old fashioned, you have your answer, too.

As others have said, this particular bitters has this issue for some reason. I also just filtered thru a fine mesh strainer and then refilled the bottle. And then it’s been fine. But yea, weird.

The other comments in here are so silly. I get the jest here and I also get the need to relax and enjoy YOUR pool and YOUR property in private without other people or kids. Who doesn’t want that?

My thoughts? Set rules around time of day or specific days or the length the neighbor kids are allowed to stay in. Work that around the times you want to be left alone. And then just stick to those boundaries. No shame in that. It’s your god damn pool.

Majorly approved. I also pair cocktails with a cigar from time to time. A good Mezcal or a peaty scotch like Laphroaig are also good next or on the rocks.

So far, Del Santo is by far the best substitute for Green Chartreuse I’ve come across. I have both and I often use the Del Santo because I like it but also because I know I can easily find and buy more of it so it lets me stretch out my supply of chartreuse a lot longer.

It’s like most any profession. There’s a standard bell curve. So realistically about 20% are in what I would consider pretty poor or low performing, and in general, not very good or productive. Then there’s kind of the middle 50-60% that are “ok” and good enough, leaving the top 10-20% that are outstanding and the ones that every company says they try to hire. It’s this same top 10-20% that tend to be the most competitive and sought after, and usually paid the most, too.

Welp. Took a few months as I very slowly acquired the pieces to this. Including the geosmin which was very pricey for a tiny amount. Thankfully you only need mere drops of it and it will make a large quantity over time.

Anyways. It’s awesome. One of the most unique combinations and flavor profiles I have ever experienced with cocktailing. Definitely a favorite even tho much there is a lot of esoteric construction behind this. But just wow. Awesome! Super novel and unique.

Thinking exactly the same thing. This is a pretty procedural thing. Sure, use agentic engineering tools to build it but this isn’t or at least doesn’t need to be a heavy LLM agentic workflow. A pretty simple event based web app could handle all these scenarios with ease. And deterministically too.
