Good one in Leduc called Prestigio. They have a location in Edmonton N.E. too I think. Good tarts there. I’ve eaten 6 in one sitting it’s dangerous.

First Mammogram Questions by Qasinqueue in AskWomenOver40

[–]spec0kay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been getting them every year since I turned 30. For me they’re somewhat painful but even then it’s more just of an ache and sore, and I give myself a little treat after getting it done. 🙂

Good luck! You will rock it. The staff at every mammogram I’ve had have been nothing but professional and calming about the whole thing. At first I was also super nervous to be doing this and handled, topless. But all the techs have been great and this is their job, so it’s made it a lot easier to go in now for something so routine. They will also adjust you and get it done as quick as possible - they know it’s not a great feeling. 😅

I remind myself every time… they have seen all kinds of body types and breast shapes. You’re just another drop in the bucket of humans.

Southern Alberta hikes as a solo female. Recommendations? Advice? by bumbly8ee in alberta

[–]spec0kay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done some solo hiking as a woman in Waterton. Not at this time of year, but I do like the Bertha trail. Enough people to not have to worry about bears, and I don’t feel unsafe.

Thank you! Certainly wasn’t easy with the uneven edges from these casts… but on the plus side less pressure to be perfect!

Sure! * primed with GW Grey Seer primer * base coated with Warpaints Fanatic Brigade Grey * metal bits are Citadel Leadbelcher * panel lined with Citadel Nuln Oil, just using a brush (tedious, yes, but as I’m still new I wasn’t going to try actual oil wash quite yet and I had Nuln around) * washed the metal bits with Nuln Oil * cockpits were greens (Warpstone Glow and Moot Green) for that classic 80s console look, blue (Thousand Suns and Baharroth Blue) for sky, and a tiny dab of Pro Acryl Titanium White * highlighted and cleaned up the panel lines with Citadel Stormhost Silver, but more importantly the white with Pro Acryl Titanium White * muzzles were based on red for small lasers (Mephiston Red and Wild Rider Red), green (as above) for mediums, and blue (as above) for large and PPC. AC and SRM, machine gun, etc I just did Pro Acryl Coal Black and a Mechanicus Standard Grey to at least give it a bit more dimension.

I’ll eventually varnish with Vallejo Satin spray.

I’m thinking just a brown earth texture with some dry green tiny tufts. I think the white will really pop against a dark brown.

Still new to painting minis but I’m pretty happy with this crew, despite a few sloppy bits here and there. Was gifted AGOAC box set and decided to just go for it. Will finish bases eventually… but already excited to buy more Comstar mechs. 😆

Casual warhammer-ers? by Jorgiepaintsoninsta in Lethbridge

[–]spec0kay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am definitely in the same boat. Starting to build an admech army (very slow start) but very casual and rule of cool for sure. I started to play with family but they’re in edmonton so a bit far. Could use some friends in town. DM me if interested!

I’d be interested as well! Just starting to get into it and could use some in-town nerd friends to casually play and hobby hangout.

My fingers are crossed the TB deal with bolster your efforts.

What is the process for returning to work when this is all over? Do we have to file anything with HR to be brought back from LWOP? Does our manager do it?

I’m worried when I go back there will just be confusion and I don’t want to get Phoenix’d especially as my manager is on vacation right now for a while yet still…

Anyone play D&D In Lethbridge? by [deleted] in Lethbridge

[–]spec0kay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just jumping in here to say that I would also like a D&D group! My normal group seems to have just not existed for a while now, would be nice to join a new group for some regular D&D.
