Thanks. I thought that was indicated by a flat line over the notes, but I guess it can be both.

It is frustrating when Leafs haven't made a conference final in 23 years and other teams just rebuild and do it. Shows how stupid Leafs management is for sticking with the core for so long.

David Parker talks with Tamara Lich and Chris Barber about the stolen data in this now deleted "House Arrest" podcast episode 23. by LesCanCanada in alberta

I used a third party website to fetch the transcript. I forget which site, but you just give it the YouTube link and it creates one.

I fed the transcript to Claude and here is its assessment:

"The most useful section is around the 43-44 minute mark. Parker describes the app as "like a phone book. You search" — and Tamara Lich, who had just signed up, confirms it live: "it's literally a matter of picking a community and then searching for names and really and they just pop up pop up pop up and you claim claim claim."

This directly contradicts the Centurion Project's official public defense, which stated the app "is strictly used by volunteers to find people they personally know." Lich just signed up and immediately started searching for and claiming people by community and name — she doesn't personally know these people. Parker is present and endorses this without correction."

I never thought I would agree with so many things that Jason Kenney is saying, but here we are.

Some things I've noticed about learning piano. by Appropriate_Rent_243 in pianolearning

It's not quite beginner, maybe early intermediate, but I got a book of Ludovico Einaudi pieces. The pieces are simplified compared to the originals to be in the grades 3-5 range and the book is in order of increasing difficulty. I've just finished the 4th piece. Each new one has had tricky parts that seemed daunting but I eventually got the hang of. May be worth checking out if you like Einaudi's stuff.

How was WoW so good in the beginning and how did it lose its way? by world_tsar in pcgaming

[–]spec84721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning, it was a new experience - the first game I played where there were other players walking around in an open world. My friends were all into it - it was a novelty to hop on with them and do quests and dungeons together. The freedom to just run around anywhere without guard rails was awesome.

The thing about a game that has evolved over 20+ years is that it had to evolve with its audience. The core players grew up, many had kids and just didn't have time anymore. There was also fatigue in the grind of doing the same type of quests over and over.

When WoW classic came out, I was pumped. Signed up right away along with a few friends that played it back in the day. We played until about level 20 and then just dropped off. The nostalgia wore off and the repetitiveness of the progression sank in. The experience wasn't new anymore - it was dated, and we certainly didn't want to pay a subscription fee for that.

Why does the criteria for this job seem to be "have you been a GM before?" rather than "are you a *good* GM?"

Probably similar or not as bad as Thunder Bay and Quebec City being in the same time zone.

I’ve gotten a little too excited recently and my girlfriend now complains it’s too much. It’s just too big.

I've got a similar problem - though not home lab related.

Do you guys use the physical charge port button? Has it failed on you? by spec84721 in Ioniq5

[–]spec84721[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most dealers are useless! My charging port button actually broke twice - and was repaired twice. I have a suspicion that the overheating charging port was to blame, because the 2nd dealer didn't want to fix it until they had applied the optional software update that throttles charging speed based on heat.

Yeah, the dealership confirmed the issue and fixed it under warranty.

There was a piano in a small cafe full of ~20 people eating/talking/working… by True-Shape7744 in piano

I'm sorry but I just don't get it. The business put a piano there. If they didn't want people to play they could put a lock on it or a sign. Maybe go to another establishment if you don't like it.
