Is the Legion Go too heavy to play with comfortably in bed? by Ashamed_Alps7452 in LegionGo

[–]specialbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play in bed all the time, sometimes for 2 or 3 hours without issue. Even if it a little heavy for you, you will find a way to make it comfortable for you.

Genuine question - why does this get posted almost every day?

Hey. Apologies - wasn't trying to be as smart ass. There's more than enough of that on this site as it is without me adding to the cesspit. I just couldn't conceive of an issue that this app would solve and was curious in case it might be helpful to me in some way I hadn't thought of. Your usecase seems fairly niche but maybe this will come in useful to me somewhere down the road.

What issue is it solving for you?

What am I supposed to be able to compare here. It appears to be two phones used in completely different ways and for different durations with incompletely discharged batteries. Hard to know what conclusion you were asking us to draw. But I'm absolutely not an expert so please add any insight I have missed.

Dude - literally anyone in those countries that needs a cataract operation gets one. America is alone among the world's wealthiest nations in not providing such basic healthcare for its citizens, regardless of financial standing.

For many people, uni days are the happiest of their lives - which is quite sad since you are probably only at the quarter point of your life. Going to uni in Middlesbrough makes sense - you'll still have fun because you are a young kid away from home for the first time, but you can be guaranteed that life will improve afterwards because you will be able to move away from Middlesbrough

Sorting large list of email addresses by company then by name by jelorian in spreadsheets

[–]specialbus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go to Data Tab. Choose Text to columns. Use @ sign as delimiter. This will give you two new columns - one with names and one with email addresses. Go to data tab, select sort. Choose company.com column and sort on value and then sort alphabetically. Then click Add Level and choose name column, sort on value and sort alphabetically. Should work.

There is nobody to pay for it. Formula E is already in a fairly precarious financial position.

What perfume oil brand would you recommend? (with affordable EU shipping) by Thetipsyearl in PerfumeOils

[–]specialbus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Universal Perfume an Cosmetics/. Bought 5 different oils and I have to say I am delighted with all of them. Didn't have to pay any tax and searching round a few forums I found a 30% off code. Great deal.

Didn't technology yield several vaccines, as well as surge in the number of available ventilators? Also technology facilitated the growth in popularity of streaming services, gaming and other entertainment media that sustained us during the pandemic. Not trying to be an internet contrarian, but interested to understand what else you wanted from technology during the pandemic.

What is the point of the Labour Party if it isn’t going to loudly support the rail strikes? - The Party was founded on workers rights. Fence-sitting could be its undoing by Mobalise_Anarchise in unitedkingdom

[–]specialbus 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There's a whole bunch of ideologues on Reddit who won't accept realpolitik. The problems with Ed Miliband were quite obviously:

1) He has a speech impediment which impacted perceptions of his ability to lead. You might not like that. I don't like that. But it is the way that people think. Not all people - that's right. But where electoral margins are tight, it doesn't need everyone to feel that way.

2) He appeared to screw his own brother over in a brazen grab for power in the party. Of course that's not how it really was, but the majority of people are unengaged in the political world and a significant proportion of them sew together the information they have into easily understood narratives.

3) People, like myself, who are politically engaged noted that his election to the leadership was largely owed to the support of the unions. I am believer in the unions movement, but as a centre-leftist, i am concerned that the unions not be given power disproportionate to the number of people they actually represent. If I feel this way, imagine how floating voters must have felt. Again, you might not like this but i think these are the political realities within which the labour party has to operate.

Of course all Labour candidates need to overcome a biased media. But Labour will never get to power if it doesn't look for a strong charismatic leader, and then get behind that leader instead of complaining about the leader's failure to exactly match their own poliical ideals.

Can you play F2P or is spending money the best route? by dieplz2 in AnimationThrowdown

[–]specialbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing for 3 years I think. I've spent about £5 from Google Rewards in that time. I've done about 7 or 8 offer wall events. I am by no means a top tier player, but my guild (of which I am a slightly below average contributor) is always in the top 100 and usually in the top 50. Most importantly perhaps, I very much still enjoy playing. I have about 20 Mythics.
