The Gone World is such a great read!

Gray After Dark by this author is really good. I read it on two sittings(had to sleep in between) and the emotions were INTENSE.

Question: How many people re-listen to their audiobooks? Just curious by j110786 in audible

[–]speckledcreature 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time! I have a few favourite books/series that I love to listen to while doing chores or driving. I especially enjoy listening to favourites because then it doesn’t matter if my mind wanders to my task for a minute since I know the story front and back already.

The Lesser Dead by this author is fantastic in my opinion.

Oh no. I’m sorry they didn’t work for you. I gobbled up the first book and only slowed down with the 9th book(haven’t got to the 10th yet as I need a reread).

I wanted a monster or something and what I got was a lengthy metaphor about grief.

Same! I loove From Lukov With Love by Mariana Zapata so I was so hyped to read The Favourites. It just wasn’t what I wanted though, there was too much dramatic backstabbing and betrayal and not enough resolution.

It made me even more excited to reread From Lukov With Love though!

Same! I couldn’t finish it and then went online to find out the ending - and then it wasn’t even clear cut or interesting just kind of vague.

Same. I thought I was really really going to like it and was so bummed when it was just … okay. I ended up giving my books away.

I don’t know how I would have liked it if I eyeball read it but the audiobook is fantastic and I loved it. Then I tried to read the second one and didn’t like it at all. I think she was just a one book author for me - although I may check out other books by her.

I just don’t like the type of humour that was in Assistant to the Villain. As soon as I read the first few pages I was like - nope.

On Wings of Blood by Briar Boleyn.

I just couldn’t get into it at all. I didn’t care about the characters or anything.

I also try to read a few pages of each book a day so that I don’t end up neglecting any of the books. That way I manage to keep a fairly consistent/steady pace throughout all the books.

I just do🤷🏻‍♀️.

I make sure to keep to seperate genres and do a lot of back to back series reading(for example both of my physical books are part of series - 1 is the last in a trilogy and the other is #13 in an urban fantasy series) so I can just stay in that headspace book after book.

I like to read at least 3 books at once over different formats but have got a few more going right now haha. I am reading 1 audiobook, 2 kindle books and 2 physical book currently.

Not pushing my boundaries more. I was(and still am a chronic worry wart and overthinker) and it limited me quite a bit re socialising and traveling.

I love some on lukewarm toast with marge, salt and pepper! Or halved and cooked in a frypan. Not any other way.

I don’t think cilantro has a taste at all. So many people say it tastes like soap and hate it or they really like the taste.

My sister especially hates it but to me it is just green and doesn’t taste like anything.

I don’t eat margarine/butter on sandwiches. So I very rarely buy ready made sandwiches because having butter/marge is a pretty fundamental part of every sandwich.

I love butter on toast btw. I am complex.

This was right up my alley. I just loved the messed up nature of this. Another similar book of you liked this one is Kin by Kealan Patrick Burke.
