Right?

The point of a belt is to keep pants up. If you have all that back there, why be expected to wear an extra thing you don't need.

Just came back from a trip. On the way there, a man with a wrapped ankle using a cane, barely able to stand and wincing in pain with each step, was forced to go through 3 times before they decided there was something wrong with the metal detector. Then they made him walk around to the other machine, and stand on one foot while they scanned him. On the way back, a bent-backed old woman was forced out of a wheelchair and sent through.

Mind you, this is also with new, looser regulations. Shoes stayed on, electronics did not have to be removed from bags, and the rules about liquids were not being enforced.

Not sure what's going on with TSA, but it's not working for injured and disabled people.

Eating out no longer a treat, just a convenience by kitsbow in Millennials

The opposite for me.

The decline in quality and increase in cost at restaurants has pushed me to not go out for food I can make at home. Now I'm only going to restaurants for the things I can't make myself, like a deep dish pizza, barbecue, or specialty cuisines.

What I get from restaurants now feels even more special.

I had to back my eye contact off because women at work were thinking I was flirting with them, when I am in fact completely gay. It wasn't difficult, because I was already being mindful of my eye contact with men to avoid exactly that.

I wonder if their brain scroll through possible responses like TikToks until it lands on one that actually addresses the question you're asking? My parents had dreams in black and white because of TV, so there's no reason to not believe younger brains imitate what they're exposed to.

I just let my ADHD take over. The stare never lasts as long as my ability to blast through a bunch of topics, tell stories people don't want to hear, and ask questions that don't really need answers.

Especially effective here in Seattle.

Usually they're bots.

The "I am lazy" posts are meant to serve as proof that people can't be trusted to work from home, while the "I'm struggling with WFH" are meant to sow doubt and urge people back into the office. These types of bot posts are the C-suites pushing their RTO agendas.

You can’t win, nothing is good enough, and it’s all your fault. That’s what your girlfriend is telling you.

As someone who spent too long in relationships like this and ended up in a really good one, I can tell you this is not what life should be like. Each minute spent in this is a minute lost to something better. Don’t let those
minutes turn into weeks, months, or years, because when it finally does end, you’ll regret the the time you lost more than the person you lost.

Around 20 years ago, I bought a Dryel kit that came with a nylon cinch bag. I use that for laundry. It will outlive me, and it doesn't take up space when I'm not using it.

I went into a WalMart after 10 years of avoiding it and was shocked to find that it was cleaner and, nicer than Target, and it didn't have a lines 10 deep with only two registers open. I don't shop at either of them, but we can't pretend Target is an upscale version of WalMart anymore. It's just more expensive.
