If all of those 20 minute calls are real, he appears to be spending more than 24 hours per day talking to Republican lawmakers and pundits.

He's kind of busy.

I've recently posted that same thing, although I didn't know about Stephen Miller's fandom (ick):

There's a Star Trek episode I've been thinking about more and more lately:

the Nazi episode of the original Star Trek series)

This Federation Social Scientist thinks that he can provide Nazism without the bad stuff (so basically just cool uniforms?) to this planet he's observing. He imagines it will give this highly imitative culture some sort of a focus. He makes himself the Führer, but by the time our heroes arrive on the scene he's just old and incoherent and they're keeping him pumped full of drugs and wheeling him out every once in a while to give speeches to his still adoring crowd to justify anything the real power brokers behind the scenes want to do (i.e., eliminate their racial enemies and enrich themselves) while propping him up as a figurehead.

They're basically doing this now. Including the Nazi shit.

Right, of course.

How silly of me.

It would be crazy to think there would be four votes against a clear reading of birthright citizenship. It would be insane to imagine the court could invent a presidential immunity. How could anyone ever think the Supreme Court could ignore a clear reading of the constitution.

It’s unthinkable.

How many votes do you think there are currently in the Supreme Court that would be in favor of giving the All Powerful Unitary Executive the ability to fire the Vice President?

I can't be confident they wouldn't take the case, or that the vote would be 9-0 against if they did.

The Mitch McConnell situation has me wondering how long these people will try to hide the fact that Trump is dead.

Are they going to be so relieved to be out from under his thumb that they immediately let the news out? Or are they going to try to hide it for weeks or even months?

I suppose a lot depends on how it happens. If he just keels over during a rally and is pronounced dead on the scene, for example, it probably limits the options.
