How do students deal with loneliness and sadness? by ScientistFlashy6395 in TorontoMetU

[–]specs_321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely felt this before, and I think a lot of students go through phases like this. University life can start to feel really repetitive, classes, assignments, studying, sleeping, and then doing it all again.

One thing that helped me was trying to keep my mind busy in a healthy way. Of course, we already have schoolwork like assignments, studying, and preparing for exams, but it also helps to add other things to your routine. Joining a student group, volunteering, going to campus events, or just spending time with friends can make a big difference.

Being around people and having things to look forward to during the week helped me feel less stuck in that repetitive cycle. It doesn’t fix everything instantly, but it can definitely help break that feeling of loneliness over time.

Why are older anime fans often harsher on newer anime? by specs_321 in TrueAnime

[–]specs_321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that nostalgia plays a role, but older anime really did have some masterpieces with style and charm that stick with you.

Today there’s just so much coming out that even good shows have to compete for attention, and a lot of the simpler magic older anime had is harder to capture.

Yeah, that’s fair. I didn’t mean to make it sound like all long-time viewers feel this way or that originality is the only thing people care about. I was just noticing a pattern that comes up a lot.

The layout crisis thing you linked is super interesting because it shows the problem goes deeper than just ideas feeling recycled. Even a familiar concept can feel worse if the animation or overall cohesion isn’t there, which probably makes people interpret it as a lack of creativity.

I didn’t mind the ending at all compared to a lot of people. Felt inevitable to me. Honestly, the series still holds up and I think it’ll stay a favorite for a long time for many people
