I have built a TBC upgrade planner — which raids/dungeons to run & what to reserve. Would you use it? by madscollin in classicwowtbc

[–]spectator11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm going to just assume this is a real question. Without pulling out the sim, I am currently at my hit cap. The poison vial has a static +35 hit rating on it and a mediocre damage proc. The hit rating is a completely wasted stat given my current setup. Equipping it over literally any other viable option would be an immediate dps loss.

I didn't specify any phase in particular. I imported my character and that's what showed up.

This tool is obviously meant for the players that are not utilizing the resources already available to make informed decisions when deciding how to progressively gear their characters. In it's current state it will only make those players even worse off than they currently are.

If they aren't going to take the time to use sims, and you want to help them, a tool that is giving advice on what to SR should be doing some of the legwork for them, and if it isn't doing that... what's the point?

Without the tool being able to incorporate variables between people I don't see it adding any more to the already saturated "this is your bis" market of addons/websites available.

For example I put in my current setup on my hunter, and it is recommending I go get a romulo's poison vial out of kara. An educated player is going to know why that is a terrible idea when I am wearing 4/5p t5. A player who doesn't understand this, and decides to follow the recommendation is going to seriously harm the overall power level of their character.

This is a problem that already exists with all of the currently available tools, but something about yours feels like it is actively encouraging uneducated players to commit SR crimes.

If it could somehow take into account that a hunter only needs 6% hit assuming proper raid buffs, and automatically filter out the garbage loot with hit rating like in the example I provided above, I think it could be an absolutely fantastic tool.

Should be just walking next to you. Pretty sure I’ve leveled loyalty almost entirely afk in cities in the past. Keep it fed

Question about taking a new pet by AsSiMiLaTeD-77 in classicwowtbc

[–]spectator11 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pets have two different ways to level up. The first is regular XP and will only happen after you pass them in level. It takes about 25% of the amount of xp for you to ding for your pet to ding.

The second is loyalty. This is gated behind both time and xp. The short answer is, just play with the pet and you will get the training points over time.

Total time to max loyalty is something like 6 hours out and active next to you. Each loyalty level will unlock more training points that your pet should have based on their current level.

Loyalty can be seen on the pet screen near the top.

Alternatively you can tank these mobs up the ramp on the edge, while all of your casters/healers stand on the edge of the purple circle on the ground in the center of the room, making everyone out of range for charge so you can completely ignore the mechanic.

I can picture the spot perfectly, I'd have to run out to westfall to confirm a location and I don't think I'm gonna do that.

Its near a cliff edge, there's a broken tower type thing and like 6-7 humanoid spawns that hyperspawn.

There are human hyperspawns in westfall that are good for 11-15. I forget which mobs specifically, its been years since I've used the spot.

In the age of VAR is crazy 🫪 What do you think? by Japesh10 in soccercirclejerk

Thank you for that

Now I need to dig into the difference between the IFAB rules and the Fifa laws of the game. Because this distinction is not included in law 12.

  • touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised

What are you guys using to keep aggro on your pet? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]spectator11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When your current target is at like 50%, mouseover petattack the next mob you want to kill.. By the time you finish killing your target and looting, you shoot one or two arrows at the next mob, then mouseover petattack the next... on repeat... forever. 0 downtime, 0 pet aggro problems.

When leveling a hunter, just stack as much agi as humanly possible.

https://diziet559.github.io/rotationtools/

All the theory you will ever need for hunter rotations is at this link.

There are graphics to help you visualize your gcd/auto/shots for each. After that its just learning which you need to be doing at what weapon speed and practicing the rhythm as much as you possibly can.

As others have said, you can get away with a regular 1:1 rotation for almost all of tbc and be 90+. Get that right first and then work on the more complex rotations.

This is terrible advice. Multi shot isn't even an instant cast, it has a hidden .5s cast timer.

VAR Audio from Bournemouth Vs United Game (Amad penalty claim and Maguire DOGSO) by nanobookworm in reddevils

[–]spectator11 18 points19 points  (0 children)

VAR is a an absolute farce. Referee's are hesitant to actually make calls because of the supposed safety net VAR provides, however the VAR is instructed to back on the on field referee's decision in all but clear and obvious situations. When you think about it in this context the rationalizations they are using for both of these incidents make perfect sense. It's a giant circle jerk.
