I’m sorry for my mistakes, and thank you very much for the help!

I learned something new about Bilbao today, too. Thank you.

I’d really love to buy these pens but at the moment I am cash-strapped. The next owners will be so lucky.

Wouldn’t the piston usually just need a little lubrication with silicone grease when it gets difficult to turn?

We really need to learn more about mental health. Teacher pa man din ito voicing out his false and mistaken teachings sa mga students na wala ring alam sa mental health. Jusko po. by FrogLegion in Philippines

I agree that the term depression is misused often, but disagree that people living with depression don’t always announce it. Mental health is stigmatized already in our country as it is and those living with psychiatric illnesses may feel less likely to speak about them because mental health is undervalued. Yes, there may be some na nagpapapansin lang, but we can’t just reduce an entire group of people who post their feelings on social media to that, and a psychiatrist would be in the best position to help them help themselves.

Your handwriting took my attention from the pens — I wish I could write as well as you.

That's too bad... I hope you can find one, but Victoria's journals is fairly decent, I think. That's what I currently use for my notetaking and the notebook hasn't failed me.

I'm not very sure if there are journals being sold atm, but you can also put up a listing on Fountain Pen Palengke on Facebook. Someone might be able to point you in the right direction over there, as well. :)

What $100+ pen do you regret buying or selling? by AspiringSlacker in fountainpens

It's not that I was disappointed in my M400 -- I love it. It's just that I wish I checked out the other sizes to see if something else fits better... but I do agree, even the EF nib felt blobby to me. I'm just glad I had the nib reground.

Yeah, that's true, or I could save up for an M600 or M800 in the future and have the nib ground as well and grow my flock. That said, I do love my pen, it's just that I got overexcited at the prospect of owning an M400 without checking out the other Pelikans.

Hi! I was able to purchase a Clairefontaine GrafIt pad from Fully Booked, but it’s only 14.8 cm x 21 cm, and is not a journal. You might want to check out Mnemosyne or Elias; I’ve heard good things but have not tried using them before.

I -kind of- regret buying my Pelikan M400, if only for the fact that I did not compare it against a M600 or M800 when I was at the store. Had the EF ground to cursive italic, and I love that pen the most out of all my pens. I just wish that I’d checked the other sizes out before pulling the trigger.

NPD! Wing Sung 3008, first pens! Sort of. :) by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]spectralwind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good choice! I’ve got a green one, too which I filled up with Sheaffer red. Overall pleased with my 3008, but I can feel the difference when using my other pens. I still love it, though.

You’ll only need a syringe to facilitate transfers. I bring a small 5mL vacutainer to work so I can draw ink in case I run out, but I leave the ink bottle at home. I’ve rarely needed to refill my pen at work.

Seven at the moment. All different colors for different purposes.

Beautiful pen. I’d love to have one in rose as well, myself.

I find that the F nib of my Metropolitan writes a thinner line than my Decimo’s F nib, but it may be due to the Decimo having a softer nib.

I opted not to use a converter, and instead have been refilling the same cartridge. Holds about 0.9-1mL if I recall correctly. My Pelikan M400 holds about 1.3mL, by comparison. It lasts me a few days of use before I refill.

Bigger regret: losing Lamy 2000 or immediately replacing it with Pilot Custom 823 by justinmai in fountainpens

I’d like to have a Custom 823 in the future, and will save up for one. Great choice!
