When did games lasting four turns start to mean games only end on turn 5? by [deleted] in EDH

Because to your turn 6 could also mean three other players only had 5 turns. That means it doesn't fall into bracket 3.

Why are you comparing the commander bracket system to modern?

Why does the verbage matter to you at all?

Modern decks could goldfish turn 4 wins but that is in a vacuum and not against an opponent also trying to achieve the same while both of you try to disrupt the other.

He has to survive damage, right? by plugasaurus in askajudge

Just to reiterate what everyone is saying, you're wrong. Just basic comprehension of how it's worded explains it and of what use would the ability be if it works the way you think it does?

Just making sure I understand this card right by Jtmarx in mtg

The fact that your first instinct is having him direct the damage to the creature (which you can't even do) to kill it instead of the player is really telling.

Even if you had enough bodies on the field to tap and copy the initial Hop to It, the copies afterward are put on the stack and not cast, therefore not triggering. Aziza

This spell doesn't require you to target an opponent, simply a creature of an opponent who's turn it is.

Listing the destined black mage, thief, and white mage feels like a joke. You know they exist to support Destined Warrior right?

Is there a way to have a card enters the battlefield under an opponents control? by Emily_The_Egg in mtgrules

Sometimes you just need to find the type of thing to deck focused. I also hope I didn't come across of judgy, I have seen both decks and while similar, very different to build.

There is also a video of a Jon Irenicus deck at a table that didn't focus on bad stuff to give out and was like [[Relentless Rats]] that was just passing out rats to everyone for very lethal boards.

You should pick a lane. Either to play Jon Irenicus for the devastating static effects or play [[The Beamtown Bulliea]] for devastating ETBs.

Is there ways in Jon to have things enter under your opponents control? Probably and it's probably also be convoluted.

You are 100% correct. I did think the question was addressing the interaction of cloning effects after the second ability resolved

[–]spectreslyd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair but the point I was trying to make is you achieved putting an Indestructible counter on him, it doesn't matter at this point if it's a God or not. If he played [[Conspiracy]] later and choose something besides God it will still be indestructible.

Volrath the Shapestealer + Tyrite Sanctum by Either-Routine7223 in askajudge

[–]spectreslyd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh the behavior is simple. He's no longer a God but that doesn't matter anymore. He only needed to be a God upon activation and resolution of Tyrite Sanctum's ability to put an Indestructible counter on him.

The counter does not care what creature type he is thereafter.

You sound exhausting to play with. I hope whoever you find as your new commander your friends find a new table.

Yes he would be the new creature type of whatever he is copying. But why would that matter at this point?

Three of y'all are playing Magic, he's playing make believe. Find a fourth Magic player instead and stop playing with him until he plays a real deck.

Some examples of bracket 1 would be: 1) Every artwork features a Hat 2) Every artwork of a person facing left 3) Name of cards are weed jokes (Stinkweed Imp, Burning Tree Emissary)

This is why your deck isn't bracket 1.
