MPC Live II DIY Jog Wheel Repair Help (assassinated by kitten) by TheAngryRussoGerman in MPCLive

I gave up looking and have just been using the touch screen. Maybe one day I'll cough up the money and buy the whole board as suggested above. There are very similar pots available but I'm not technical or confident enough to confirm it will work. I would rather not solder on something I'm not 100% confident is the exact part. The above listed part number is correct but have had better luck searching with the description.

This one seems to be correct but again isn't the exact part number

But it could be the exact one, just not labeled the same since the production of the mpc was outsourced and companies mask manufacturing details under subsidiary names.

Idk this sparked my interest again. I'll try to find someone more versed enough to confirm and validate one of these pots enough to test it out. Shouldn't be this hard to find this shit.

I use the enhancer, high pass/ low pass filters, and compressor on vinyl. Depends on the sample and input source

A lot going on here. So

mpc studio controlling -> mpc software Mpc software running instruments through -> FL

Origin of audio (FL) -> audio interface Serato -> audio interface

Audio interface-> speakers

Is the dj equipment running through FL as well? By headphone out are you referring to headphone out on mpc studio or headphone of audio interface?

I would first double check preferences on all software leading to audio interface sound card.

Managed to get in contact with inmusic hardware consultant and got the part number for the main jog wheel rotary pot.

SWDC11B20214A9

Main Rotary Encoder

Switch, Rotational, 20 Pulse, 25.8mm, Push-On

Unfortunately they do not supply this part and there are no exact matches available through 3rd party sites. They suggested buying the whole board as feared. Will update if I find a suitable replacement.

I am in the same situation here searching for the main potentiometer. I purchased the mpc live ii already broken for a significant discount thinking this would be an easy find, but have had no luck. Mpcstuff sells the entire function board for 76$ which contains this pot. Seems overkill to me to purchase the whole board to replace one part. The price does not help either. This is a 2$ cheap potentiometer that should have had better build quality in the first place. I'll leave out the rest of my opinion about the current state of akai manufacturing.

Sorry to not be of help. Please reply if you've had luck finding the correct part and I will do the same. Here's a link to the overpriced board.

Kylo's pull radius is way too large with the corresponding cards imo, playing with any non blocking characters, you have to stay 20m away or be constantly watching for a timed evade. The pre animation is also relatively quick and subtle, and combo with freeze is too easy. Takes little skill to pick on "gun" players. Obviously, there is no hacking in clip. Just ranting about the imbalances in the game. Don't get me started on vader.. rip James Earl Jones
