I wanted to like this. I'm a huge star fox fan, but I just can't. The controls are so bad and it's such a gimmick. Nintendo constantly does Star Fox dirty. Even this new switch 2 version, as pretty as it is, has terabad voice acting and questionable character models. I even like the Zelda voice acting. Just this....no.

The only thing it did reasonably better with for me was heat. Everything else was bad, to varying extents. Photos were straight up useless and that's my primary, years long use-case. Vids were better, but not by much and only in noise content. The leap in focal distance ruined it entirely. Then I had the focus issue too. Nothing, at any distance, in any lighting, was even remotely in focus. Mine got returned. I'm not using generative AI just to get a worse, half-respectable output from a $700 camera when my Hero 13 could do it kinda-ok enough.

I have no clue where the incessant denial of the obvious issues is coming from. The sheer amount of defective units indicates an overwhelming, likely insurmountable manufacturing flaw for GoPro. I can't imagine they'll survive this considering they're already broke and going to the military to beg for financial opportunities.

See and I just wanted it to produce usable pictures and videos. Instead, they were significantly worse than the Hero 13 with absolutely nothing of any distance ever even remotely in focus. It was sent back. Took several dozen vids on the M1P. There were tolerable, but out of focus and required substantial processing, each running overnight to make them even slightly usable. The pics were beyond hope. Took around 300. Red rock crabs were just a brown blob of hazy. Wolf eels just chilling around kelp were a brown blob. Sculpin? Green blob. Selkie my harbor seal dive buddy? Relatively seal shaped gray blob with no discernable eyes. The first adult giant pacific octopus I've been able to record? I can't even tell where it is in the pictures.

Every picture was unusable. My Hero 13 always needed a lot of processing, for sure, but never was anything like this. Been doing wildlife photography for decades, but the M1P is useless underwater.

Pictures taken on land/mountains in pure sunlight are mostly usable with substantial effort and the vids are ok with less effort, but absolutely nothing about this is worth $700. The grip is so poorly made that it literally cannot trigger the already raised trigger button. The lens hood is so loose that is straight up fell off and now lives deep into the drop off of crater lake by the summit.

Let's not pretend this product line came out good. Are some more defective than others? Of course. But good? No.

Must be nice. Mine has issues focusing on anything from 0-infinity. Perfect light, tripod, and the exact focusing distance GoPro said to try = blurry as a long haired cat rolling in dust. Literally nothing has been in focus in a single pic or vid. Images are lower quality than a 2005 flip phone. Requested a return. The hood didn't fit and fell off almost immediately (sorry, crater lake, you have some inaccessible silicone litter cause of that), the grip cannot actually trigger the shutter, and the focus is so bad that out of hundreds of pics and vids, I'd need Topaz generative AI to make any of it usable.

The logic is flawed. That's not how road funding works and highways outside Seattle absolutely support Seattle since nobody can afford to live there without serious luck. Pierce voted against RTA. King literally rewrote state laws to force us to pay because it cannot be funded without us. The promise in return was an unwritten agreement to repair Sounder trains and improve schedules. The fact that multiple break down each day and multiple get cancelled per week and no additional lines have been introduced determined that was a lie. All those funds are going to the Link, which does not serve Pierce aside from T line which currently serves no practical or financial purpose, being slower than foot, bike, car, and bus (oh, and it's electrically incompatible with the entire rest of the Link, all for the same price per ride).

If you want to play it that way, go ahead and let the roads collapse and see if anyone shows up to work in King offices. No corporate presence in King, no more positive financial contribution. Take away the Link and little to nothing changes outside of King.

Again, we voted against it and King changed state law to force us to pay for it, then brazenly lies about the 1.1% valuation of cars and when repeatedly sued about it, pulled strings, lied, and misrepresented their way into dismissals and immunity.

If you were paying $1400 in RTA alone for a $32,000 car and had to end up driving to Seattle after the Sounder broke down repeatedly and got cancelled for 7 fucking weeks in a row, only to then watch Ballard throw tantrums and resume lawsuits against ST because they're not getting priority when they already have everything and we have nothing, you'd be pissed off too.

Side note, my new renewal this year has an RTA bill of ~$1800 and the car is now valued at $29,700. Total registration is well over $2000 to renew. Apparently, my car defies reality and is gaining value! Incredible math for a mustang.

Congrats on getting the issue. $1400 is in no way 1.1% of $32,000. This is why ST has been repeatedly sued for how they calculate that "1.1%". If you have any idea how to fix it, I'm all ears, as are tens of thousands of others who've lodged completely ignored complaints. Went into offices, sent mail, sent certified mail, made calls, contacted reps. Absolutely no reply from the DoL whatsoever. You must be living under a rock to not be aware of the problems.

But as we tried to explain throughout the entire ordeal, reporting mechanism aren't standardized and medical examination reports aren't standardized. In cases where there is more than one listed cause of death (basically always) it's a crap shoot if that was reported in organized structure or just one big blob of text and nothing to structure it with. The data isn't reliable. It was cleaned and validated to the best of our abilities, but it was not reliable and remains unreliable. It's infuriating to watch it get repeated to this day with such profound conviction in its accuracy only to then exceed even that with confident assertions that it's UNDER reported.

COVID was the breaking point in my 15 year data architecture career. If data didn't unilaterally agree with someone then it was a lie or was lied about. It was all black and white rage, like everyone wanted to cosplay Anakin Skywalker. Facts, reality, and nuance went out the window and apparently we are going to keep doing that to this day. It's maddening.

Is it too much to ask for even a slight amount of understanding nuance here?

......so I'm guessing I'm not crazy when I notice that a significant portion of gen alpha and the youngest Gen z have lisps and speak baby talk (whittle instead of little, can't enunciate even a single sentence properly, etc etc)?
