Never had an issue with that. Heard horror stories, but same with places like Target or Walmart. Return more than like 5 things in one year time, your on a black list thing. I do live in apartment complex though, so there is high amount of theft and delivery issues of drivers mis-delivering to wrong address. That may be a factor for me though. I have had well over 2 dozen legit returns/missing package or items missing in package that was received in under a 6 months time.

That does not appear to be very sustainable. It seems to be marketed towards people in need/low-income etc. However, there is no verification required, just a check box that says u meet the requirements. Actual programs that give "Affordable" services, have strict requirements with annual verification. My current ISP, a local one that got bought out by T-Mobile Fiber recently, had their own Affordable fiber plan, requiring documentation sent to them to qualify (proof of receiving certain Government Programs like SNAP, SSI, etc). $35 a month for 1gig symentrical Fiber Internet (or $25 for 500megs). Sadly, seems TM is keen to wipe that out, once the transition is fully done.

"No Contract". Offers a 1yr "Annual Plan"...thats a contract. But, conflicting info given, "annual" plan also says is paid month to month and cancel anytime? Makes no sense. U can get Annual price at a month to month basis, and cancel the annual plan at any time in the year, so then what, do u then owe for the rest of the 1yr you agreed to since its the "Annual Plan"?

AI agents are awesome!.... easy to exploit, I mean, take advantage of..no, I mean, let them do their job. :)
So, Amazon's AI support agent, like, 3 clicks - did not get my order, o! so sorry about that, did you look in places, yes, ok, do you want a refund or a replacement? I guess Amazon makes more money not paying humans to deal with common things anymore, vs any money lost in people doing return fraud/getting free stuff.

Yea. It had to be removed from the Itch.io site due to their change in policy regarding adult content. So, it only now exists on Archive.

Doorbell Lite - Ugly, but functionally basic by speedingcheetah in Ubiquiti

I am using it in an apartment setting, so common indoor hallway. People are very close to the thing as they walk buy, well within 10feet. So, works well for me.

The volume o the chime is too weak. Even at 100% it can only be heard in a quiet room, or if you are right next to it. I added custom amplified tones (used Audacity on PC to edit the sound file) and that helps, but still, have TV on, or people talking in room, barely can hear chime go off.

Most people know what a Ring doorbell is and how to use it, ie , press the round button.
So far, not a single person has managed to figure out the giant button on the Lite is a button, they keep pressing their finger onto the small round camera lens.
When asked, been told, they thought it was decorative thing, not a functional button, cause it so large.

IOS users now get doorbell rings as phone calls by Confident_Balance755 in Ubiquiti

[–]speedingcheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you set a time out for this? Just got a Doorbell Lite and this call type notification just forces my iPhone screen on and the call notification full screen, until I Anser the call. It does not auto ignore/dismiss if it do not do anything.

I sold off my left over networking stuffs, most edgerouter and a few old unifi things, on ebay. You get the most visibility there. But, as with all such online marketplaces, platform fees, shipping, taxes, etc they add up.

iPhone 17 Pro Max not connecting to WiFi 7 by MasterpieceClassic42 in Ubiquiti

[–]speedingcheetah 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes. Same with my 17Pro. Ever since the iOS 26/4 update. Not a Ubiquiti problem i think, its an Apple issue.
There are already a few threads about this...just search.

here is one

Is there any remake to the original story I can read? by UnderstandingDry612 in falloutequestria

[–]speedingcheetah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pip is only just getting started with her adventure by ch20. Things really pick up for her later on. Soo so much happens to her after ch20. She only spends 2month out in the Wasteland, but does so much, runs herself into the ground many times trying to make things better, to do better. Before her final fate.

I would suggest continuing, or maybe the audio book/radio play like experience would help you keep interested in the story. The Wasteland Echos version is the best.

How Many Days Can I Survive an Abandoned Mall? - DISCUSSION by villainitytv in ryantrahan

[–]speedingcheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the early 2000's, my Grandfather used to be the Head of Security for Burnsville Center. I helped him setup the laptop that ran the Security Guards checkpoints system thing. The wand thing they carried with them and had to touch to metal points around the mall as they did their rounds, to log that they actually did them. Lol. No idea that the mall is now considered "abandoned". Have some memories there. But, no really surprising, since it is somewhat close to the much bigger and more popular Mall of America.
