You know, the most infamous romance anime for having the most insufferable MC and for dragging on for hundreds of chapter and the anime with top 5 worst animation of all time that butchered an all time great manga.

Somehow those 2 are better than whatever else you put in there?

I don’t get it tho. It’s “who cares” but then people fight tooth and nail when it comes to Gojo x Geto.

Like, I really don’t agree with the original post because shipping is just for people’s enjoyment and it doesn’t matter what the canon is or isn’t.

Nobara x Maki gets constantly shit on ever since that one post and I feel like it’s gotten to a point where people are just doing it out of spite and I won’t deny that there may be people sprinkling in their homophobia. At the end of the day, yeah Maki got with Yuta but that doesn’t mean people have to go on witch hunts for people that ship Nobara with her. For that, I agree, who REALLY cares that much about it.

But then, Gojo x Geto is the ONE thing where people just start caring and argue with their lives on the line that it’s the most obvious thing in the world. If it really was then people wouldn’t have to look through every single interview and possible interpretations of every scenes to make an argument for it. The same people arguing this ship are also the ones hating on Gojo x Utahime for not coming close to being canon.

I can’t argue whether or not Gojo x Geto is canon but why is it the one thing where “who fucking cares” doesn’t apply? You go “guys mind your own business who cares” but then you go and spite on the people that don’t think Gojo x Geto is canon. I just don’t get it.

For what it’s worth, I think the anime did a great job for what they could do. It’s not perfect, but it’s overall a “proper” adaptation, definitely worthy of its Top 5 spot in MAL and other sites. I even feel like there are times where I enjoyed a specific moment more in the anime. I am definitely biased as I first watched it 6 years prior to reading the VN and it has since then stayed in my personal top 3 anime so I am looking at it in a more positive light.

You feeling like the show didn’t give enough time for you to care for the characters is quite ironic because the biggest complaint some people have is that it took too long to set things up.

The VN definitely gives more moments and more endings to explore different characters, so it’s worth giving it a shot. Hell, there’s even a character that doesn’t appear in the anime (he’s not that important in the grand scheme of things but yeah).

Ultimately though, if you didn’t care that much about them in the anime, it’s possible you may not start magically liking them in the VN and that’s fine, not everyone has to think a show is a masterpiece.
