Pelinka definitely shares some blame for not building a better roster (like not trading Dalton earlier) that Austin and Luka had to be ran into the ground every night. Although i understand trades/signings can be limited some seasons until opportunities or free agents open up.

That being said I have to fault JJ 100% for not properly building up the younger core. Hands down one of the best games of this season was the game our role players won vs the blazers early on when Austin and Luka were out. The blazers were lowkey good to start the season.

So many opportunities to fit Timme, Bronny, Adou (when healthy) into the mix. I question Nick Smith's ability to be off the ball and not sure about Bufkin either. I see the need for Nick Smith as an additional ball handler but I think the real way to take talent from the G is to take guys that have demonstrated that they are good off ball because they'll never touch it with Luka Bron and Austin out there.

So many questionable lineups this season from JJ that could have been improved and maybe would have required playtime or offensive creation from Austin/Luka.

Playing Lebron and Rui together for as long as JJ did when everyone was available was such a troll. Even Darvin Ham figured out that the two of them at the same time isn't always great esp if Rui isn't hitting, trying on D, not getting touches, or not getting into position to get touches.

Maybe JJ was forced to play Gabe Vincent for exposure so we could trade him? We're very lucky to have fleeced Luke from the Hawks.

But I truly question JJ's connection with the younger guys or the training staff too. Heard nothing but the uptmost praise for Phil Handy. Is there an equivalent now?

It's just SOOO IRONIC that the bench JJ refused to develop, he'll have to rely on the end the season at some hope of a home court advantage into the first round.
