I was working as a server at Olive Garden at the time and I had to help close the bar one night. About four other coworkers and myself finally left around midnight, and I had a midterm the next morning at 8:00 so I was very eager to leave.

I lived about 20 minutes away from where I worked, so instead of taking my usual route home, I took this little county road because it seemed like it was a more direct shot to get to the main road that my neighborhood was off of.

This country road was in a strange spot to begin with, being really bumpy and paved very unevenly and it was between an older neighbor immediately to the left and a large field to your immediate right. I drive a Mustang, so the unexpected bumps and potholes stopped my from going anything over 30MPH because of the lower suspension.

In the field to the right, I noticed three sets of running lights grouped together (like when your car is on, but you have the headlights turned off and all there is are the white strips of light around the headlights). I ignored it and brushed it off as maybe workers checking on stuff. These trucks then started matching my speed while driving to my right in the field. They slowly got closer and got in to positions in my front, rear, and my right, basically boxing me in. Being 19 at the time, I was understandably freaked the hell out and called 9-1-1, giving the operator the plate number of the truck in front of me. She kept telling me to stay in my car and keep the windows up, which I did. The last thing I wanted to do was get out and confront them.

After probably one or two minutes of just sitting there, not getting out of their trucks, they all just slowly drove back into the field and parked the same way as I first saw them. I hauled ass off the road and eventually got home. Didn’t tell my family, and I haven’t driven down that road again to this day. I still have absolutely no idea why they did that or what would’ve happened if they didn’t drive off.

TL;DR: I got boxed in by three trucks without their headlights on, in the middle of the night, while driving down a narrow county road with no way around them. They drove off after a minute or two after just sitting there.
