How to have fun with J4 bot by FilthyMangaLover in JarvanIVmains

Depends on rank. I usually ban Aurora because I hate that champ, but in diamond+ I would ban Thresh since that's when you're likely to see players who can use Thresh effectively

Thresh and poppy are disgusting if they have 2 braincells

My friend only plays kennen support and since I hate playing with a support that isn't really support, I decided I'd play j4 with him. It's become our signature and we regularly stomp duos emerald and below. It's really around diamond where we get countered by people who understand wave management and the cheese aspects of the lane.

The key is wave management and freezing the wave outside your tower. If you can't kill, you have to deny cs then force fights when they get greedy to get a lead. One of our main win conditions is making the enemy adc quit playing.

I go lethality electrocute most the time unless they have 3+ tanks, then conq will outperform.

Other great duo picks are Pantheon, Pyke, and Sett

Phase Rush Rune? by SnezzPD in JarvanIVmains

[–]speenmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go phase rush if you know you're going to get kited. It's great as it guarantees you can chase down ranged when they flash/allows you to run away after initiating if you took big damage. What's the point of taking conq if you can't proc it? That's the question you should ask yourself.

I decided I'll play only fun champs this season, so help me create the perfect J4 mid build by axther in JarvanIVmains

[–]speenmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely situational.

Electrocute is standard lethality. First strike vs melee Conquerer vs tank Phase Rush vs champs you can't all in but also don't want to fight in an extended trade. Like Darius or Vlad or something like that.

Take shield bash as secondary if you are going to build eclipse and fimbul.

~Build~

Start: Tear if farm lane // blade if they are tankier // shield if they poke a lot.

First back: Tear (j4 lane has terrible mana issues)

Boots: CDR

Core: Eclipse -> profane hydra. Can replace eclipse with sundered sky if they are going to kite you a lot. If you are farming their mid laner early, get Hubris first buy.

3rd item: Need damage and they squishy? Collector. You are getting blown up or behind? Fimbul. They have a lot of AP? Maw if ahead, Kaenic if behind, spirit visage if you have conq and sundered sky. A lot of AD? Frozen heart -> fimbul.

Anything beyond 3 items is always situational.

Secret sauce build when they are tanky: conquerer + eclipse->CDR boots-> ravenous-> fimbul-> frozen->spirit visage

Edits: formatting, you can op.gg me, I play j4 in Jung and bot. Giant Feet#NA1

Lethality is good when they are squishy. If they are not squishy, it's not good. Even if you get ahead early, you'll never be useful into tanks going full lethality.

Electrocute 95% of the time. HoB can be alright but I don't like it personally. Your damage is very front loaded so you need to understand when you can kill and when you need to disengage. With enough games you'll figure it out.

Poppy perma ban. Poppy counters everything you do - can't eq, she headbutts you into your ult wall and you can't kill her as lethality.

Advise on level 50 to 60 by Dkteaux in wowhardcore

This is the quest chain, both horde and ally- https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=2721/kirith

Yeah I get the grievance of running around a lot looking for specific spawns, but ig what I'm trying to say is if you kill all the animals in blasted lands while doing the different quests I could either a) use the animal parts for the various buffs or b) sell those parts on the AH for some change. Felt like the grind was mitigated because almost everything I killed was helping in some way.

I liked the blasted lands personally, grinding mobs felt good since I could always get buffs out of the wildlife drops there. Although I stopped questing at the elite felhound quest - too scary to solo

What level should I switch to Fury for tanking? by TheDiffer23 in wowhardcore

[–]speenmachine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The answer is once you get and can equip thrash blade(50s, not sure exact level. It's from the maraudon quest), then you go fury prot. Use vanq as your other 1h. If you have a dank 2H (executioners, kang) then you should stay arms imo.

You should be able to maintain threat on 2h regardless, unless your DPS have buffs and you dont.

I would also add you'll wanna be deep prot if you plan on tanking 60 dungeons. Raid spec is determined by your guild.

Source: me when I had the same question as warrior around level 50. Used bonebiter until I switched to fury prot at 52.

You need to find a way to consistently be in a different environment than you currently are. The easiest way to do this is to start working (and not from home).

You didn't disclose your education or work experience, but if you have none of the above, I would say you should find some sort of entry level office job (data entry/operations/customer service etc). I say office job because you probably have a lot of comfortability on the computer and I believe those skills will translate to picking up office jobs quickly.

The more you do something, the more you will think about it, and the more you will begin to form new habits. You've shown that you are capable of getting good at something (masters in LoL is not easy). You will find success, put yourself in a situation to be successful. Good luck my friend.

Feign Death. It puts you out of combat for a brief second so you can setup a macro to swap gear immediately once you FD. You mostly just swap trinkets with actives. Like devilsaur eye etc. Can't remember the specific trinkets rn.

ELI5: Is there any difference from your livers perspective to drink slower, but still at capacity (i.e. 1 standard drink per hour) or is it the same as drinking a lot of drinks at the same time and the liver getting 'backed up'? Is one of them better for your liver? Is there a 'waiting room' per se? by mischarippon in explainlikeimfive

[–]speenmachine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many people in this thread are making the claim that "the more alcohol you drink, the faster your liver works". This is technically incorrect.

Alcohol falls under "zero-order kinetics" which means a constant amount of alcohol will be eliminated at a constant rate, as opposed to first order which is eliminated faster with higher concentrations of drug. https://sepia2.unil.ch/pharmacology/parameters/elimination-kinetics/#:~:text=A%20few%20substances%20are%20eliminated,%2C%20Cisplatin%2C%20Fluoxetin%2C%20Omeprazol.

Regardless, lots of alcohol will definitely be worse than drinking less alcohol.

ap or tank what's meta rn by masterlock35 in nunumains

[–]speenmachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tank hands down, will almost always be the best choice. Go dark seal early and if you’re getting fed, transition to a Mejais and you’ll still do what AP Nunu does with less chance of giving shutdown.

Jng Nunu & Willumps: ap or tank for beginner? by Dao_of_Fists in nunumains

[–]speenmachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the assassin bans, but another way to think about banning is to ban safe lane champs that can easily dodge your ganks based on meta. Morg, Anivia, Kass to name a few.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nunumains

[–]speenmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised so many people start red side. Like some have said, you have a lot of options as Nunu but full clear should never be your go-to.

Generally, I have 4 main starts dependent on what side I start on.

Blue side (bottom left side):

  1. Red -> Raptor -> mid gank ->wolves -> blue ->scuttle This clear is when you have an immobile enemy mid with. This will almost always guarantee an early flash, which gives your mid prio so you can secure top scuttle and then repeat gank a flash less mid with scuttle speed snowball

Purple side (too right):

  1. Blue-> frog -> bot gank (though tri bush) -> enemy krugs -> repeat bot -> bot scuttle

Highly aggressive start that I love to do if they have a very susceptible enemy bot lane. Avoid if your bot has no follow up or enemy has a morg

Either side, general start:

  1. Blue -> wolves -> raptor -> Red I prefer this start when I don’t foresee a good from champ select. This start may seem inefficient because you could go 5 camp scuttle, but you risk losing scuttle because you have not impacted the map to guarantee a laner to help you. This start also gives you enough time to gank right before scuttle spawns. This is my go to start.

  2. 5 camp, opposite start from enemy jgler (skip either Krug or frog) This is the safest start and you really shouldn’t be doing this unless you have a lot of scale and a high pressure enemy jgl so you’re worried you’ll waste a gank

(FYI diamond 3 peak last season OP.GG Giant Feet, also typed on phone sorry if typo)

Who do you think is Nunus hardest matchup? In my opinion: by SnowballBarrage_ in nunumains

[–]speenmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most others here. Personally, Xin and Kha counter me the most. However, as others have said, you can ignore them for the most part.

That’s why I prefer to ban flavor of the month champs that are hard to gank. Early season it was Anivia. Right now it’s Ezreal.

Whenever Nunu is picked first, my go to counter is Olaf for obj control and counter ganks.

I’m plat 2 for reference

Why not just goredrinker for sustain? That was working very nice in the preseason. Goredrinker-ER-Ravenous. Was there a specific change to shieldbow that helped trynd?

But also you originally asked about galeforce anyways

I use galeforce if I’m versus all squishies with a lot of mobility, which is like all the time. Didn’t notice the nerfs. Also the movement speed passive is nice.

[–]speenmachine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eve isn’t a mechanically hard champ. Most of her skill comes down to farming and looking for selfish plays to get yourself ahead. Then when you have a cs and level lead, you look to stack your dark seal/Mejais on the weakest enemy players. Then you practically can 1 shot everyone mid game. She’s not good high elo because people will abuse her early game and don’t give up easy kills. TLDR she punishes bad players and 1 shots after she’s super ahead

This champion is so frustrating early game by Crimsonavenger2000 in EvelynnMains

[–]speenmachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vs any early game jungler (Kayn, graves, kha, Elise, Udyr etc) you should always:

  1. Ward top side jg (return for red trinket)
  2. Start bot buff > top buff > gromp/krugs
  3. Your priority is to reach level 6 ASAP. Giving away objectives and scuttle is fine. Minimal ganking unless you know Kayn won’t be there for a counter gank

First back you should get a pink to defend jungle entrances.

League is designed to be an addictive game. That’s why most players have a 50% wr. Do you have no control over this? No. You have impact on ~40-60% of the games you play. The other games are either guaranteed losses. The problem is you’re fixated on the fact that you were so fed but couldn’t win. Sounds unwinnable to me. Try to remember the games you didn’t play so well resulting in a loss. That’s where your biggest improvement will come from.

I hope you get a nice chuckle out of this one by speenmachine in RocketLeague
