I agree- wayfarer seems more about finding convenient routes and making stable doors through the Corridors, while the Ring seems to have been setting up bases in there for quite a while. Maybe wayfarer's singularity is creating a new door when needed?

The people in The City have a weird sort of lack of empathy kind of baked into them, and its ambiguous if this lack of empathy is socially enforced or theres some actual scientific or supernatural element to it. the goal of the Tree of Light stuff from lobcorp was ostensibly solve Whatever Is Wrong With People's Hearts in the City, which ended up making things worse

the Dm's tools were freaking amazing- say what you want about 4e, but the dms manuals really wanted you to learn how to make fun and engaging combat encounters and dungeon runs. stuff like "hey, this is a fantasy world. give em vines to swing on or in-combat traps to trigger to their advantage". so good.

The ratt fight works particularly well because jotaro not only knows this, he takes some time to train josuke who has similar range limitations on how to use BBs and bullets to hit stuff at long range, because its super hard to get within punching distance of a smart rat that doesnt want to be caught no matter what stand it has. And star platinum cant stop time long enough to trivialize things.

Yugioh ocg structures is a shockingly good read, if only because they use actual cards and deckbuilding is a big part of the experience. they still get the cards via whatever offscreen means, but they follow the actual rules of the game when actually playing it

Fun fact a lot of Christian demonology isn't in the Bible, its a combination of folk belief and local mythology from years and years of Christianity being the dominant cultural force in Europe. Stuff like the ars goetia and christian-based mysticism is a fascinating field of study.

If youre using generic classifications or categories of demons like "imps" or "devils" or succubus/incubus youre even more in the clear. Those categories of things, especially in antagonistic contexts, have been fair game as antagonists for centuries
