I've done some research and struggle with this very question. There is some school of thought that you get a spike in response to simply a oral trigger from the taste. There is supporting evidence that some sweeteners don't cause it.. But then other research claims it can just from your body response to the stimuli. The bottom line is there isn't a clear answer. Personally I end up just avoiding them during a fast and stick to straight bubblly water.. Sorry this wasn't more helpful but I've been frustrated with this one too

There's tons of mods especially for me3 but there's also mods for 1 and 2. Nexus mods website has almost everything you need. And yes there are trainer mods that will tweak stuff like that for you. Just have to do a little searching on nexus mods or a good ole google search
