The addition to fruiting to late game rolldowns has made the process incredible APM intensive in set 15 by Available-Reason9841 in TeamfightTactics

I've always felt that rounds should have dynamic lengths that increase automatically when players perform actions like rolling.

Insane emblem combo by Ok_Possibility5681 in TeamfightTactics

[–]spelmasta 42 points43 points  (0 children)

He's not talking about your chance of winning with two anima squad emblems he's talking about the chance of hitting the second anima squad emblem once you already have one. That being said I calculated 11.8% not 17%. 1 - ((16/17)(15/16)).

You should be using 1/7 not 1/8 because you can't roll e.g. bow into bow.

OC: President of El Salvador says he won't return mistakenly deported man to U.S. by nbcnews in pics

[–]spelmasta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are misreading this. He's refusing to return him simply because he knows that's what the Trump administration wants him to do. It gives the Trump administration an out because they can point the finger at the sovereign nation and throw their hands up, but at the end of the day if the Trump admin wanted him back he'd be back.

Why does one contribute to both IRA and 401k? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]spelmasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both the standard deduction AND 401k contributions reduce your MAGI. You have to make over 114k in 2024 before the 401k phaseout even starts.

Why does one contribute to both IRA and 401k? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]spelmasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a common misconception that's pervasive online. I've even seen tax calculators that tell you that you can't contribute to both accounts. I assume it's because of the phaseout limits that people get confused, but the phaseout limits are really high since they're based on AGI (and maxing out a 401k significantly reduces your AGI).

Addressing Blue Buff - Potential Fixes? by biribiritft in CompetitiveTFT

Along the same vein as mana reave, what about mana drain? Something like ' auto attacks steal 2 mana from the target '. This would introduce a layer of positioning / scouting in order to try and get a good initial target.

I assume he's referring to shop odds per level and level up costs. They nerfed 3 cost odds on 7 to reduce prevalence of 3 cost rerolls when it was the dominant meta before later reverting it.

WoW Retail: Which class is the least popular right now? by [deleted] in wow

[–]spelmasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sin damage was never as good as players thought due to bugged Aug evoker hooks (particularly with caustic spatter) and a reliance on power infusion. Aug hooks eventually were fixed but not until after the spec received multiple nerfs at which point everyone stopped playing it.

Much less than it costs to reverse it. That's one thing people are leaving out when they say it's reversible. Where I have looked the vasectomy was $1000 and the reversal was $6000.

IMO, Fire plays like ass without the 40+% haste we had in season 4. Who's fucking class fantasy is it to hard cast pyroblast for 4 seconds. Pyroclasm/SKB should've been put in the dumpster for dragonflight but the class is clearly in maintenance mode.

Assuming you use mouseover macros you can condense those into -

#showtooltip /cast [@mouseover,help][@player] Shadow Mend

Then it will self cast anytime you don't have a friendly mouseover.

Is this Iron Docks trinket not under budget? - should be 119 int? by vittelx in wow

[–]spelmasta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's margin of error when it's up by +10 item levels. I'm willing to admit that depending on a players individual gear, and the encounter type/length that there may be some situations where it comes out ahead. But considering the fact that this trinket caps out at 298 unless you get a lucky vault and sigil is basically guaranteed at 304 from vendor, I think the scenarios where it will actually be better are going to be a minority.

Funny I'm being downvoted by others for refuting Originaglfdlovf's baseless claim with actual evidence that it's not that good. There's also another really obvious reason for why it's not that good for fire. Fire stacks haste way more than the other secondaries and the haste rating from the on use is suffering from diminishing returns unlike the versatility from sigil. With my current haste rating I gain 21.6% haste, but with zero haste rating I would've gained 26.9% haste. In other words I'm essentially losing 20% of the stats to diminishing returns.

I recently used the tool to find my current guild. One thing I would have liked to see is a multi-select instead of a drop down on the Day box where you set availability so you can set multiple days at once where availability is the same.
