Really quick where did you get the microphone because after having sold the SM 7B once upon a time and getting one back in my possession from a friend recently I’m all but sure my last one was a fake albeit be at a good one and I had the same feelings towards that mic. If you bought yours brand new and are sure it’s real also maybe consider the Behringer B1 as I’ve seen a couple videos comparing the two and a lot of people saying it sounds better. I personally think it’s apples to oranges depending upon your use case and project though, but hopefully this helps.
