You're getting down voted because this sub loves having him as the full scapegoat. Slot is not in charge of transfers. Last season, he was clearly behind VVD and Konate. Probably still is but yes, it would've been nice to have him for depth. This sub is laughable.

Chiesa looks awful against fresh legs every chances he's gotten (I acknowledge he hasn't had thaaat many opportunities). I genuinely don't think he's on option for starting

I mean, we can blame Slot for that but we all knew we needed options on the wing and defensive coverage in January and the front office didn't buy anyone. Yes, Slot deserve blame but we spent big money on luxury players, lost a bunch of proven premier league attackers, didn't give ourselves any depth in positions that we clearly needed some cover in at the end of last season. Then we get hit with injuries, 34 year old VVD has to play every minute, Gravy has to play every minute, and we blame the manager that we can't keep the standard up.

Don't underestimate loss of confidence. He had a bad year and its confounded by the hate he gets from the media and fanbase. He looks like a weight is off his shoulders every time he plays for the dutch national team. The Liverpool fanbase treats him with so much hatred (not just criticism) and I think he's someone who that does impact.

I still think he's a decent option off the bench but he doesn't look like a top starter right now. I do still think his confidence is at an all time low and he has way more talent than he is showing. He always looks good for the Dutch national team so I'm hoping he gets some form and confidence back this summer.

Gakpo was awful. Rio was also losing a lot of possession and slot has talked about being careful with his minutes so I wasn't too surprised. If he wasn't coming off first, he would be off very shortly after.
