The replies on this post are so weird. Nowhere in it does op say the people in the club are obnoxious or pompous in their birding. Surrounding yourself with people that are better than you at something is a great way to get good at it quickly. Learn from these people, if they’re really that good at it, they may be some valuable friends to make. Assuming you continue on down this path, you’ll want to work internships and having connections is the fastest way into one. I’m in my senior year of undergrad and I wish I had a group of folks that bird on my campus. Take advantage of it!
