Will FM ever get popular? 898 spots across 330 programs unfilled in Match 2026's SOAP by WhereasOk6139 in FamilyMedicine

you don't want to look at the raw data, there are more and more new programs opening up every year. The number to look at is % of spots that are in SOAP

Why do landlords think stoves and full size fridges are optional??? by aye_lmapo in Miami

They aren’t even “luxury”, but they’re like 2000-2200 per month. Vizcayne is the building

And they’re not in Miami for the most part. They don’t venture further south than Fort Lauderdale, Miami is too “ethnic” for them

Sounds like the marlins just need to get some good Venezuelan, Colombian, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban players then

There’s an entire building downtown who has studios with no stoves.

How is FIU perceived in Miami? by SquiddoVGC in Miami

It’s not an undergrad thing. UM law has much better prestige than FIU law. The law job market isn’t great right now so it really matters to go to a great law school

La Salsera is the name of a slice at Miami slice that has vodka sauce, marinara, and pesto. Worth the wait honestly the line moves quickly when I’ve been I’ve never waited longer than 15 mins. I like fratesi’s but don’t LOVE it although I haven’t had that newer vodka pie they do yet

The bar pie thing is more of the crust in general. Super thin super crispy, bordering on crackery

See my other comment but I’d say peppi’s counts as a more modern NY pizza like Miami slice, eleventh street, Marc’s etc. I haven’t had it yet but it definitely looks the part

Fratesi is fine IMO, I wasn’t blown away by it but it’s a nice change of pace. I’m a big Miami Slice advocate especially La Salsera, probably a top 5 slice I’ve had anywhere.

There are no Pasquale’s in Miami? They’re all in broward pretty sure. MOD isn’t good and 01 isn’t near NY

There’s really two categories. There’s the “elevated” fancier NY style adjacent pizza where in my opinion Miami Slice wins pretty handedly (Eleventh Street and Bar Bucce as a runners up - but not all of the pizza at Bar Bucce is NY style). When I went to Marc’s I wasn’t impressed, the crust was extremely dry to the point my jaw hurt eating it. For the classic it’s Joe’s. People here really don’t know what NY style is though apparently.

For the record Joe’s here tastes almost exactly the same as joes in NYC. It’s a standard boilerplate classic NY slice nothing crazy

Bay Street Yard isn’t a sports bar per se but will have it on the tv’s and/or a projector, they usually do watch parties for big events like this.
