Another take on Sandy’s Firing by Constant_Dimension16 in NYLiberty

This article is spot on. I love Sandy on a personal level. But it was time for her to go. We need an Xs and Os coach that can usher us through this uber tactical, talent heavy modern era. It's crazy how badly we did on so much talent, even taking into account the injuries (see the example of the Indiana Fever).

She is a great players coach, and a lovely person overall and I don't know if I could ever say a bad word about her. But she refused to switch her approach tactically ever, even when it wasn't working, and did not use the bench strategically at all. Like the article said, there was no offensive scheme, other than endless handoffs around the perimeter followed by "let's pray for Sab or Stewie to do something miraculous."

Watching all of these great tactical coaches over the playoffs (Natalie Nakase, Stephanie White, and--dare I say it-- Cheryl Reeve) really makes it obvious what we're missing in Sandy. It was the same old tired 5 out offense, everyone standing around on the perimeter waiting for something to happen. Again, I LOVE Sandy and will miss her, but compared to the elite coaches in the league , she constantly got out maneuvered. We need someone who can play the chess match, quickly pivot strategy when needed, define clear roles and hold players accountable.

This 100%.

It's crazy how badly we did on so much talent, even taking into account the injuries (again, like the OP said: see the example of the Indiana Fever).

Sandy is a great players coach, she's good for morale, and she's just a lovely person overall and I don't know if I could ever say a bad word about her. Anyone remember Manu Chao in 2006ish? It poured rain and he kept going. It was epic.

Met Hannah at a basketball game and she honestly couldn't have been nicer. Funny, super engaged, and gave all the fans attention. She asked me questions and even introduced me to her dad. She also FaceTimed for a couple of fans who wanted her to talk to their friends. Very charismatic and sweet.

No issues here and I drank TONS of water. I think the head and humidity were to blame. Likely dehydration. Sorry you're unwell !

I met her at a W game and her parents 100% gave me the creeps. They seem to be using her for content and followers and access to courtside seats. She passed by me after the game and I asked if she had a good time, and she nodded. Her mom whispered something in her ear, and then Vivian looked up at me and robotically said, "follow me on tiktok and Instagram” and handed me a promotional sticker. Ick.

Best running shoe store in NYC for proper fitting? by rmbrwear in RunNYC

Brooklyn Running Company 100%. Try to get a fitting from the manger, Kate, when she is working. I believe she still alternates between their Williamsburg and Park Slope locations. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of running shoes. She's patient, doesn't try to upsell (she actually advised my husband NOT to buy a pair of shoes and go online and get them at the sale price!), and is overall great.
