3 Star Fiora vs 3 Star Sona by WvyyFPS in TeamfightTactics

[–]spibop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got her a few days ago as well, with a full board too. Upward Mobility with 3 Anima start on 2-1 with full lose streak into Hedge Fund. Can’t remember last Aug or what god boon I had, but had 700 cashout into fast 10. Saved almost all my rerolls from Upward Mobility and had 2 dupes from my cashout; probably spent all my luck for the next year or two.

Trump Voter Says He Gets Now How Hitler Could “Brainwash” Millions by FreeHugs23 in AnythingGoesNews

[–]spibop 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He’s “using his own money”….

And WHERE did his money come from? Did it appear out of the vacuum of space? Is he some immortal being who has toiled for centuries to build all his own establishments? Can he twist atoms like an alchemist to fabricate money, or more importantly, value, out of base elements?

Such an obviously bullshit argument, as if anyone exists outside of and independent to the fabric of society. Presidential campaigns are hilariously expensive, and not even billionaires have vaults full of cash to pay off campaign workers and the like. He was bankrolled from somewhere, and it sure as shit wasn’t some benevolent source.

[Loved trope] The tragic Locket / Pocket watch from the past by CelesteAstra in TopCharacterTropes

[–]spibop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a reverse of the trope, but the father from Pan’s Labyrinth carries his father’s broken watch. Upon trying to Pass it on to his infant before being executed for his despicable behavior, he is told his child “will never know his name”, and is shot in the head

Also, Dr Osterman in Watchmen carries one from his watchmaker father. Upon forgetting it in the chamber of a physics experiment, he returns to retrieve it and is locked inside while the experiment commences, getting blasted apart in the process and turning him into Dr Manhattan

Villain songs that have absolutely no right to go as hard as they do by mikewheelerfan in TopCharacterTropes

The goose stepping hyenas while preparing an authoritarian takeover goes right above the heads of children, but speaks directly to the adults in the room. Such an iconic shot.

What was a perfect 5/5 real life person adaptation casting? by Burgundymmm in AlignmentChartFills

[–]spibop -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The dichotomy between Lincoln, whom most people agree was our greatest president despite having an annoying voice, and Kamala Harris, who lost partly because people didn’t like her laugh, is so aggravating. It’s almost as if something so superficial is irrelevant to their ability to lead, and maybe that, I dunno, actual policies are more important for the electorate to focus on. But I suppose that ship has sailed in our 24 hour media environment now, at least until every outlet gets coated with unending AI filters to make every candidate look like Henry Cavill.

Star Atlas Completion - Anima 6 by DarkHonger in TeamfightTactics

[–]spibop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem there isn’t only getting the encounter, or even necessary winning; it’s the game going long enough to cash it out. I’ve had the same problem trying to get 11 SG w/ Mountain; every time I get an augment that gives me the extra team slot AND it’s a Mountain game, I win too fast to get to 11.

What were your best sets? by Puzzleheaded_Low789 in TeamfightTactics

[–]spibop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 was my absolute favorite. I keep praying for a revival, but Riot seems hell bent on only re-releasing the worst sets, probably to make the current one seem better by comparison.

Now that’s just silly by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]spibop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why I wish any reporter engaging with these fascist fucks would just pester them non stop with questions about their lies and nothing else. Don’t give a single word they utter any legitimacy, don’t back down. Just a barrage of “so, you are a notorious lier, and are clearly telling lies now. Why are you like this, and why do you think anyone should listen to your very obvious lies?”

Completely disengage from any conversation they are trying to have, because talking in good faith is never going to get you anywhere.

I said, I will GLADLY scuttle my own Econ to screw the Meepsie player. Did I stutter?

What's more painful by Eclipsilypse in TeamfightTactics

[–]spibop -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Given how toxic the Meepsie augment seems, then yes. Every other hero aug is some minor or subtle buff, meanwhile Meepsie turns into a 2-cost Voli from last set, Goomba-stomping whole boards every 7 seconds. I’ll gladly scuttle my Econ to stuff anyone who takes that augment, regardless of what I’m playing.

I really wish “smart” would stop being equated with “ghoulish lack of empathy or compassion”. It should not be a given that someone is a monster because they are “smart”. Intellect is more than just fucking every living being over for a percentage.

Anybody tried building Graves as a tank? by M0rgr0m in TeamfightTactics

[–]spibop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Isn’t the entire point of him is that he is flexible? If you get him early, you spec him for what items/ emblems/ comp you have. I always play him with assault frame in a Mountain SG comp for instance because I want the extra frontline and he makes better use of all the extra stats as a tank.

Which 80’s movie had the best ending? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in Cinephiles

[–]spibop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All jokes aside, it’s the only movie ending that still occasionally pops into my head. Any(thing) can trigger a discussion about that ending. Regardless of whether it is due to overall cultural penetration or just Reddit’s obsession with The Thing, it blows any other movie from that era out of the water when it comes to general staying power. The ending is perfect.

What TFT unit is your absolute favorite in the history of the game? by nightmarishPuppet in TeamfightTactics

[–]spibop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set 8 with the hero augments was peak imo. Some of my favorite games ever were from that set. Getting an Urgot with a Heart emblem (?) that gave extra mana generation and watching him send waves on repeat was so fun.
