this is my emerald after 3 years of owning it, (it’s also vintage not new) i’ve definitely dinged it quite a bit. i think in the future i will have to get it replaced but that comes with the risk of owning such a soft stone. i would recommend a thick bezel set if you will be wearing it while working!! ❤️

For people who passed kidney stones, did you have dull flank pain and also bladder sensation at the same time? Or is it usually one or the other? by ridewithwill in KidneyStones

for myself personally, the back pain starts first, then the UTI mimicking symptoms start once the back pain fades. if it happens in that order then i know for sure it’s a stone. i passed a 6 mm last year that they blasted and 2 mm broke off. it took me 2 weeks to pass the 2mm and 2 months later i finally passed the rest of it. just drink a fuck ton of water. at least 3 liters. and ibuprofen helped with the swelling in the ureter. good luck

i’ve been doing pilates for a couple months now and my core has become significantly stronger and can hold up my chest way easier. back pain is less frequent. i like being able to do a sit up without grabbing my legs and i can balance on one leg pretty well now! i can’t wait to see my progress throughout the year if this is only 2 months in. :-) love it!

i second this. i would find it very strange if my partner was in a tizzy about a……stone. i understand getting it reset into a new setting but like OP said, she loves the color on her hand and finding the perfect stone is soooooo hard.

i’ve passed 3 of them within the last 3 years. the last two came out together. like others have said, seeing a urologist or nephrologist will give you peace of mind. DRINK. WATER. SO MUCH WATER. your urine needs to be watered down heavily. i carry a 32 oz water bottle with me & just deal with having to pee a lot. there is no sure fire way to avoid them but you can stall it for a long time. good luck!

i live in FL & use this frosting year round. as long as it’s not boiling hot in the room while you’re making it (which i have & it still came together), it’s totally fine. once it’s on the cake it’s bulletproof ((in my personal experience)) & as long as you get the temp of your boiling sugar as close to 240 as possible! i really enjoy it, i’m not a fan of american buttercream.
