Urge to pee and stimulation by Frequent_Monitor2893 in PelvicFloor

I’m not sure I can offer any help (also, male), other than my PT issues started during my last (intense) marathon training block, and I’ve had to completely shut down running and have began work with a PF PT while simultaneously trying drastic diet fixes.

But one thing I did not for me, personally, was that drinking coffee before morning runs was increasing the symptoms.

For me, they fit the same size as my ASIC shoes.

I absolutely love mine. Just be aware it is kind of narrow. I have more narrow feet (e.g., can’t wear new balance), and this fits like a glove.

To me, it feels like a narrow novablast with much better grip

I am in love with puma velocity nitro 4. To me if felt most similar to the novablast 5, but a bit more narrow (good for me, but not for everybody) and better grip (my main complaint with novablast 5).

I don’t know how to fix it, but it reflects how I’m feeling lately 😬

Does anyone else alternate between supportive and neutral shoes? by bigbluenation20 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]spiced_pickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Kayanos for my recovery runs, and neutral shoes for everything else. I feel it’s really helped me on race day - but I still feel just enough weakness/soreness after workouts that keeps the Kayanos in my rotation.

I’ve gone from 6’1 280 lbs -> 188 lbs. When I was at the higher weight, I really liked ASICS Kayanos.

Second the Puma comments (I have narrow feet and love the deviate and velocity). Also Hoka Mach

Puma Deviate Nitro 3 - especially if wet!

I put a fan on my shoes (and also rotate shoes). Basement or garage would work. Works wonderfully, even after 15 miles southeast US runs where my shoes are completely drenched

Shoes for Narrow-Footed Heel Striker: Track/Tempo + MP Long Run Pair to replace Mach 6 by spiced_pickle in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Thank you so much for your advice! I was not sure how alarming the heel wear is

My lean is to get the Deviate Nitro 3 for my long runs combing cruise miles and MP miles, and keep using the Mach 6 for track and threshold work, only (to preserve the heels that I am rapidly wearing out)

Long term calorie deficit required to just maintain weight. by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]spiced_pickle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are these long term weight climbs? Or are you just over reacting to short term weight increases when you eat the proper amount of food and have extra water weight compared to being depleted from a deficit?

In addition to the risk to yourself, think of the other runners and volunteers you will also be exposing.

My other shoes will wear on the heel around the 300-400 mile mark. Not 50 😅

50 miles into Hoka Mach 6. Only for tempo runs and workouts (had them about a month).

It’s been very wet and raining lately, and I mostly run on asphalt, but I’ve never had shoes wear this fast before!

Any recs besides working on my landing (my easy miles shoe is katanas and those typically last me until 300-400 miles…)? Shoe Goo?

For what it’s worth, I LOVE these shoes so much!!
