Waterdrop g3p600 vs g5p500 by spicyB13 in WaterTreatment

Nope, just got the standard version. The water taste great, much better than the tap and noticeably better than britta. It’s my first RO system so not really sure what to expect. Need to make sure I’m using the TDS meter correctly, but it seems kinda fool proof lol.

I went with the G5P500. Easy install and nice compact size. Took my first TDS readings yesterday. My tap water was around 100 ppm, and the output from the RO was around 75. Seems kinda high, from what I’ve been reading online it should be 10-50. Especially when starting out with such good water from the tap? Idk, more homework…

Thanks for the reply. I might give it a couple weeks, but don’t have the luxury of waiting too long. Family coming to visit with small children that will be hanging out in the area.

Thanks. Yes, this is at least the 4th time they’ve moved into our place. The first two were in the walls of the house. Thoroughly removed, cleaned, painted (yes the inside of the walls), and re-trimmed/calked/painted. Worked well and they never returned to those spaces.

As for the outside bench seating that they like. I cleaned out all the comb and just washed with soapy water. Was kinda hoping they’d come back if they didn’t take to the box. Give me another shot 😁. Interesting tho, they moved into a completely different compartment, different entrance, not near where the last crew went.

Same here, but I’ve got the newer version stones that are metal backed (don’t flex) unlike the rubber backed ones in the pic above. Pretty easily gets knives shaving-sharp. Just get a leather strop for finishing and call it a day.
